new this morning after a dramatic 24-hour period, the suspect in a shooting and police standoff near sacramento is in custody. he surrendered just after midnight. earlier a neighborhood was on lockdown as police pleaded with him to give himself up. >> a barrage of gunfire. that was the scene last night in roseville. gunfire exchanged between swat team members and a shooting suspect. according to police the suspect, samuel duram shot three police officers and barricaded himself inside a neighbor's home. >> she said she witnessed the officer being shot and the gunman smiled and ran off. for a minute there she believed they were across the street directly from her house and then she saw him jumping fences in her backyard. >> duran emerged from the house at 12:30 this morning and about 90 minutes after a robot was sent into the house to make contact and he's a 32-year-old parolee and lives in roseville. three officers are in the hospital. one is in serious condition. he was shot in the jaw. the other two are listed as stable. the fourth officer was treated and released. >> hundreds of people gather
