ktvu's jana katsuyama has more on the surprise hours before the board of directors was set to meet. >> reporter: well the board has a special meeting that has been scheduled for tomorrow and what we are hearing now is that the bart administration has found some language in the contract that could cause them to recommend the board reject the agreement. here is the statement we received from b.a.r.t. management today. b.a.r.t. management believes that a provision it did not agree to was include in the final package. b.a.r.t. is costing out the impact of the provision. it appears that the b.a.r.t. board is going to be looking at this. they won't vote but they will discuss it tomorrow. the agreement with the unions, the two largest unions was agreed upon and ended up with the unions going on strike twice in the course of the negotiations. this agreement brought all of that to an end. both unions ratified the contract by votes of 80%. so this is something union members i talked to say this comes as a

jana katsuyama, ktvu channel 2 news. >>> new video from san jose where a stabbing has left a woman with critical injuries. it happened around 4:30 this afternoon on the 6300 block of almendinger road. neighbors reported a disturbance with a man and a woman that ended with a woman being stabbed. the woman is expected to survive. >>> in oakland police are trying to find people who shot at each other from their car this is afternoon near lake merit. it happened around 5:30 where oak street turns into lake side drive near the county courthouse. one witness told us he heard five shots fired between a van and suv. there's no word of anyone being wounded. that witness also told us that he was most disturbed because he says no one ducked or even seemed to notice that people were shooting at each other. >>> the state public utilities commission approved new -- commissioners passed new rules aimed at protecting the men and women who work on the tracks. the changes include more training, locking switches to keep trains from moving on tracks where work is being done. many of the regulations have be

ktvu's jana katsuyama joins us now. she's in vallejo and learns that poor visibility on this rainy night may have been a contributing factor. >> it was raining hard and dark. the police tell me that the pe december -- pedestrian with us at this intersection and tried to cross the street. you see there's no street lights, there's no crosswalk. the first car that hit him stopped the second one continued more than a half mile down the road. police blocked off the corner of stanford. across the street neighbors watched. one said her children watched the car stop. >> the children they heard the tires of the car squealing to stop. >> reporter: investigators said the driver is 89 years old and passers by flagged him down to alert him that he was dragging a person. they had often seen the neighbor around the area and that he was in shock. >> he's somebody we recognize from here in the neighborhood. he walks around a lot. very friendly. older gentlemen. very shaken up about it. >>> vallejo police say the initial call came in at

new developments tonight about what happened inside terminal three in ktvu's jana katsuyama. >> reporter: l.a.x. is the nation'd third busiest airport. and police say censia just walked in and started shooting. one passenger caught the chaos on their cell phone. one moment it's calm. then suddenly. >> on the floor, on the floor now. on the floor. >> reporter: passengers ran and scramblinged to get away from the gunman in l.a.x.'s terminal three. >> go, go, go. >> reporter: people were running, being knocked down and there was luggage everywhere and mayhem. >> reporter: l.a.x. pd say the gunman walked into the terminal and pulled a semi automatic rifle out of his bag. >> he proceeded up into the screening area where tsa screeners are. and continued shooting. >> reporter: victims were rushed into ambulances, officials say at least two tsa agents were hit. one of them died from gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen. passengers tried to escape any way they could some heading directly on to the tarmac. others hiding in bathrooms. one man saw the suspect with the gun. >> it was just a long r
