. >> i'm michelle griego. a large shopping mall in new jersey will remain closed all day after a shooting sent shoppers scrambling for cover last night. no one was hurt when a gunman opened fire at garden state plaza mall in paramus. overnight, police found the suspect in the back area of the mall dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. the shopping center is one of the largest in the greater new york city area about a dozen miles from manhattan. cbs news' jericka duncan joins us live from paramus. >> reporter: i just spoke to the county prosecutor and he says based on a note left behind by the gunman, he described him as despondent and depressed. he said it could be part of the reason why he came to this mall fired several shots and later decided to commit suicide. >>> reporter: police say 20- year-old richard shoop walked into the garden state plaza mall in paramus, new jersey, just before closing and opened fire. these women came face to face with the shooter. >> out of nowhere, the guy walks right past t

good morning, michelle. this would be the biggest settlement of its kind involving the biggest bank if the country jpmorgan chase. they are expecting an announcement with the justice department that jpmorgan chase agreed to a $13 billion settlement. this had been worked on for quite some time. we are starting to get more information on the various pieces of this settlement. the latest being a $4 billion chunk of that, that will go towards consumer relief. of course, we don't know the details of how that will be broken down and which consumers will be relieved by that. another $4 billion going to freddie mac and fannie mae because they bought billions of dollars in mortgages from jpmorgan chase leading up to the financial crisis that were worthless at the time. jpmorgan chase has plenty of money for this. they have set aside $23 billion so they won't feel it despite the big number of this. and investors just want to see this done with and jpmorgan chase shares are up slightly this morning. >>> tesla being inv
