this is what it has been doing, there's heavier rain through nebraska. right in that boundary is where we are seeing that rain snow line developing. and now spreading into northwestern nebraska northwestern idaho seeing that rain mix with snow, and it's eventually will spread up towards minneapolis. so the visibility gets a communication of where that snow is coming down, and this lower visibility is spreading through iowa, not that low, though, it has to get down to quarter a mile, then you are seeing heavy snow, less than a mile there in south dakota, just under a mile visibility. so some light to maybe moderate snow continues to come down. it will continue to spread to the northeast, this is central time there. still coming down in nebraska, getting the heaviest snow, accumulation can be an inch an hour, and mainly on grassy surfaces the road can be a slushy mess, but still it will be accumulating. there's cold air moving in behind it, just through this area, heaviest on grassy surfaces and still fairly warm, so it is mainly wet and heavy snow. these

that's going to be a chilly one in places around montana and the dakotas and nebraska, where moisture is developing, second cold blast of air coming through tomorrow. the same storm that brought powerful winds and power outages, still some power outages in parts of western washington brought several inches of snow to silver mountain, idaho, and now across montana we've had snow showers and temperatures continue to drop as that low pressure tracks to the east. 26 for bismarck. that cold air is going ocontinue to work its way down, even bringing some wet rain snow around parts of colorado, definitely going to get snow in colorado and wyoming mountains. the wet weather will stretch in a band tuesday afternoon through tuesday night, south dakota, and nebraska, accumulations three to five inches anticipated and southern minnesota, you'll probably get your first snowfall of the season. again this is expected to be anywhere from a trace up to 3 inches, the air has to move in and shift your rain over to snow. that will take some time. we'll watch that story develop through the day, election d

we're seeing this front right through the northern plains and dropping south right through nebraska and kansas, and seeing a quick drop in temperatures and that drop will continue to push south. it does bring rain and a snow shower and we see a passing shower. this is not a widespread event with rain or snow. just a quick shot of some light snow as this front moves south. you'll notice a big drop in temperatures before you see any snow accumulate. that will be the big story. here is a big drop happening in the last 22 hours. minneapolis has dropped. omaha, 5 degrees, but that's getting colder and colder as the front moves through. there is that slight climb in temperatures. in kansas it's 13 degrees warmer than it was this time yesterday. the outlook shows this front moving south by 5:00. it's down into missouri and moving to iowa and then pushes south and takes all that rain and snow with it. now we could see some lake affect as you see the cold air coming over the warmer lakes. the big problem will be the drop in temperatures. today's 72. tomorrow, 53 with the low temperature of 28. w
