nbc's bob redell is at the campus in san jose. bob, many students have said they've invested a lot of money and time in this. >> and at least one showing up today, completely surprised at what happened. i just spoke to the llc, the people that own this building, that had been renting their space to bryman college. the lawyer tells us that their client evicted bryman college because they owe around $80,000 in back rent, that they have been behind in rent for some time. you can see, there's the "no trespassing" sign and the doors are locked her. the lawyer tells us they filed an action with the court in early february, tells us the school did not respond, so an eviction date was set three times, once in march, april, and earlier this month. and each of those times, the property owner, according to the lawyer, agreed to postpone those evictions in an effort to work out a payment schedule with the school. well, yesterday was the last straw. the owner did have the sheriff's office serve an eviction's notice, post those "no trespassing"
