we will start off with a quick check of the weather with meteorologist lisa argen. good morning, lisa. >> good morning, katie. we have mist and drizzle and it's gray all wait into the inland valleys. we will have midday sunshine. this is the which it will play out. the low clouds and fog will stay at the coast with a healthy on shore push. we will look for temperatures in the upper 50s to low 6 tos with limited sunshine here. but around the bay 69 in oakland. look for mid-70s in san jose and low 80s by concord and fairfield. we do have a warmup on tap before the end of the weekend. i'll detail that for you. katie. >> thank you, lisa. we begin with developing news out of oakland. police are investigating the death of a man hit by a bart train. it happened at the west oakland bart station around 10:15 last night. authorities say the man was walking along the tracks when he was hit where people and passengers are not supposed to be. the accident did shut down service between oakland and san francisco while crews worked to clear the tracks. passengers on the train staye

we will turn it over to meteorologist lisa argen with a check on the weather. >> hi, katie. low clouds and fog visiting us around the bay. the sea breeze picks up not only for the morning hours butt afternoon as we. hears a look at the east bay hills. you are look agent mt. diablo. numbers in the 50s. low 50s from morgan hill. and the winds are kicking up around the bay. so that will be the story again. in fact, pretty gusty in the higher elevations. that's about love 1500 feet in our east bay valleys. mt. tam gusting to 36 miles an hour. we will look for some sunshine today. mostly sunny, some high clouds, and with the wind you will notice that cool-down inland with upper 70s to low 80s. low 70s around the bay for our near east bay and the coastline with 20 mile-an-hour wind gusts, low to mid-60s. big changes for the weekend. the cooling trend continues right through earlyex week. i'll detail that for you and talk about how much cooler we are going to get. katie. >> thank you, lisa. >> caught in the line of fire. a young girl is in the hospital after being shot in the neck.

let's start with a quick first look at the weather with our meteorologist lisa argen. >> hi, carolyn, good morning. looks like the fog is focus aid long the central coast right now. live doppler 7hd is clear. we are looking at the sutro tower camera where temperatures are on the mild side. 55 in san jose and 46 in half moon bay. that gives you an indication that the fog is not there insulating us along the coast. throughout the day today we will warm up quickly later on in the morning hours. so with the fog-free coast, temperatures will range from the upper 60s around stenson beach and point reyes to around 70 san francisco. around the bay into the lower 80s and inland lower 90s on top. slight cooling for memorial day. we will talk about that in a few minutes. carolyn. >> thank you. this morning we are learning more about friday night's mass murders near the uc santa barbara campus. there were ten incidents that left six victims dead, at least 13 injured b the rampage the killer posted videos on youtube. >> "tomorrow is the day of retribution. the day in which i will have my revenge."

here's meteorologist lisa argen. >> good morning, katie. we are looking at a nice, calm start, although that won't be the case this afternoon. the brisk north winds are going to return. right now we looking at numbers cooler than yesterday. 49 hayward, and 51 out toward the delta and 49 up in santa rosa. 24 hours ago we were milder, but this morning 13 degrees colder in napa and 4 degrees colderter san carlos airport and san jose. with a look from the east bay from the east bay hills camera, it looks pretty good. the winds are calm now but by the afternoon it will feel chilly, 50s along the shoreline and low 60s. around the bay mid-60s to 70. and inland it will climb into the mid-70s. it's an improvement from yesterday. tomorrow the winds turn offshore for mothers someday and that brings big time warmth our way with the winds backing up. i'll detail that forecast coming up. >> thank you. we have breaking news in the east bay where two suspects are in custody after an armed robbery led into a high-speed ia high-speed chase and a police shoot
