low pressure is moving across the sierra nevada. it's cranking out some snow showers there but here likely to get the winds going especially into the afternoon. a little breezy this morning. some partly cloudy skies, mostly sunny this afternoon. but some very gusty winds late in the day. and much warmer weather as though winds calm down and actually turn offshore over the weekend. here's that low that's moving through california just to our east. that's going to be enough to help crank up these winds as high pressure builds in behind that. so a blustery day especially along the coastline. in the high country, guess what, they have another winter weather advisory up there. could see two inches of snow. they are requiring chains on highway 88 there and yeah, you might want to just pack the chains and be careful in that direction. as we look toward the afternoon you will see orange and red beginning to show up especially near the coastline and through some of the mountain gaps. those are some of those gusts possibly to 30 and 40 miles

the key is the low coming in which will drop down into oregon and eventh sierra nevada maybe monday and tuesday. they will get some presip up there. the weekend outlook is much better. temperatures more 80s. 60s and 70s coast and bay. coming up in ten minutes i'll have more on that weekend cool down. here is sal. >> right now traffic is doing pretty well around the bay area. i would say that you're off to a pretty good start. let's go out and take a look at the bay bridge toll plaza. the traffic here looks pretty good. you can see this is a very nice looking drive with no major issues. if you are driving into san francisco, that drive time will take you i would say less than ten minutes and i'm being a little conservative on that. probably less than eight minutes really getting into the city. also looking at the commute here on the san mateo bridge. that is an 11 minute drive. there are no major problems. and the traffic continues to look good if you are driving through. i want to mention the traffic continues to look good on 680 southbound between the marina vista area and walnut creek
