flights to boston are experiences delays averaging an hour and 25 minutes. those going to newark, new jersey are facing delays of about two hours and ten minutes. >>> icy weather back east, but it is a gorgeous warm day around the bay for us. we will see changes soon. let's bring in chief meteorologist bill martin with the big changes coming. >> well definitely, rain we have been talking about. but the big story is the travel. it is a travel day. not in the west coast. the weather is not a problem here. here is the nor'easter. they call it a nor'easter because it moves toward the northeast and as it does, it pulls cold air off the rockies and canada and warm air from out in the atlantic and you get tons of snow. that is what they are sighing. boston has had up to a foot of snow. there have been flight delays for many. boston was showing up to two hour flight delays but they have since updated to green which is a better sign. newark, you are red. that means your airport delays are up to an hour-and-a-half. everybody else, san francisco, chicago, looking good.
