a possible case of measles in fairfax county. health officials say that patient is quarantined this morning. richard skror dan is live at the fairfax county health department with more on what we should learn later today. soo. >> reporter: in just a few hours, the health department will release the test results that will either confirm or possibly rule out the possibility of measles for this patient. that confirmation corrected later on this afternoon. right now the patient is at home in isolation because the measles is very con passenger yus. it's not clear as to how this person may have come in contact with the virus, how they were exposed, how they got measles or possibly got measles. again, we're still waiting for the test results to come back. but every precaution is being taken including looking at exposure sites, who may have come in contact with this person that can now, at risk. simple teams to look out for of course high fever and then the bumps and rash. several states have at least one reported case of measles. virgin

the this happened at the fairfax county adult detention center. the 37-year-old woman was scheduled to be transferred to alexandria where she was facing assault charges against law enforcement in alexandria city. but she resisted the deputy's instructions. they used a taser to control her. she was taken to the hospital after suffering a significant medical emergency. she's now in pretty cal condition. >>> 11 before the hour. and we're learning more about a fight at a high school in frederick county. chopper 4 flew over tuscarawas high school yesterday afternoon. police say a 16-year-old student attacked a teacher in a classroom. no word yesterday on what led to the incident. the teacher had minor injuries. the student is now in detention. >>> the alexandria school board has adopted a budget of more than $305 million, among the priorities tackling enrollment growth. and do that the school system wants to either make upgrades to patrick henry elementary or demolish the school and build a new one. the school sent a tweet saying the out of date buildi

the judge ordered fairfax county to turn over two internal affairs reports. one of the fatal shooting of john geer and the other about a courthouse meltdown that officer adam torres had before he fatally shot john geer. now already in that released police report about the shooting it found geer to be standing in the doorway of his own home with his hands up. several officers were angry about the shooting and felt it was not justified. the soon to be released reports may shed light on whether officer adam torres is prone to anger and whether he was disciplined for cursing out a commonwealth attorney in the courthouse. the geer family wants to know what police supervisors knew about torres and why they allowed him to be there that day with his gun drawn and pointed. >> there's an officer who admittedly had some anger issues within five months of the shooting in this case. at least it raises a reasonable suspicion that perhaps these issues carried forward. >> some parts of it are disappointing. i find it a little troubling despite many officials saying the count
