bayview is one of 10 police districts. the only other people that is larger is the taravel district. our district currently has five sectors, five areas of geography to which we assign the officers. the area that is in question that we'll talk about tonight is what we consider the bayview one cart. what will happen is we are northernmost boundary which is currently cove when the giants were here, i was at the doormat but i didn't go to the party. we'll lose mckovey cove down to 16th street. it will have little impact on bayview. right now the mission district is covered by the uc foot print. the uc campus has it's own police department. we do assist from time to time when they might have a planned or unplanned demonstration. but it does make sense, i believe, that that border might go as far as down as mariposa because the new uc hospital. the southern most portion of that a butts 17th street. that being said, we know in the bayview there is currently a tremendous amount of growth and there will be continuing to be a treme

and then another site in the bayview neighborhood. also we will be expanding the champs program, increasing the number of clients that can be served at the current site and we are looking at adding a second meal champs site and self-help for the elderly is working on identifying a second caterer or restaurant that can help partner with that. in total, compared with our base line, we are going to be increasing the congregate meals to seniors by 37 percent. that's about a little over 66,000 meals annually serving 1670 seniors annually. the other portion is that we are increasing the congregate meals to serve adults with disability. again we are adding 3 sites that can serve them. these are the same sites that serve the seniors. and with this program we are increasing service by 74 percent. this is about 14,000 meals annually serving another 265 adults with disability. the third program we are increasing is the home delivery of service to seniors and we're increasing this by 24 percent. in terms of meals this represents close to 280,000

and permanent hiring and temporary hiring with 50 percent with priority for bayview residents. lanar has been at 51 percent for all projects that have been through this commission. and 27 percent of them are with minority owned businesses and 25 percent are with women owned businesses. breaking it down to block 48. you can see that it's 63 percent enterprise participation to date with 7 percent to minority and women owned businesses. phase 1a which is the small specific plan, they have 31 percent small business enterprise participation and to minority businesses and.5 to women owned businesses. then it's just some notes about the next step. very typical to go to the next development stage. you will see additional schematic designs going forward on the future phases and moving through the design process and hopefully a permit for construct. we'll also have to begin the appraisal process for the lots to be closed as part of the da process and the construction schedule to begin for phase 1 is august of this year hopefully. it's a little optimistic but we are trying to shoot for th
