bob emler in the wtop traffic center. how is it shaping up? bob: on the inner loop of the beltway getting out of tysons, very slow and complicated by the wreck on the inner loop before river road. that has most of the roadway tied up. very little traffic getting by this crash on the inner loop before river road right now. otherwise, it's just volume delays headed south on 395. west on 66 south of centreville. 95 south as well as you head over the occoquan and then headed south from quantico, you hit a lot of volume getting towards stafford. no incidents along the way here and looking at some numbers on the inner loop it will take a while to get up 66 to the legion bridge because of that crash now and 66 not too bad getting off the beltway to the fairfax county parkway. volume delays 295 south and the district quite slow. this is coming off the george washington parkway headed up to the american legion bridge, so slow because of the crash before river road. only one lane is open getting past it. outer loop is open, though. that's why it's creep

i'm bob emler with 103.5 wtop radio. kimberly: time to take a look at the weather. looks so nice outside. doug: yesterday, 20 degrees warmer but at least it was sunny and bright out there. it's going to stay on the cool side for a while. by friday morning, rain and snow both a possibility. let's get into it. start with a beautiful live shot. this from the weather camera in chesapeake beach. you can see on the far eastern horizon, it's clear enough that you can see tillman island on the other side of the chesapeake bay. gorgeous weather and i think it will stay very pleasant. winds are kind of gusty out there gusting 25 to 30 miles an hour. everybody else north and west in the 30's and 40's. chilly afternoon compared to yesterday especially. plenty of cold air to the north and west. 45 in indianapolis. colder than average temperatures will dominate. what happens here when you have colder than average temperatures, see a storm? well, you start thinking what do we got? satellite gives a little hint. clouds will start moving in tomorrow. they'll be moving ahead in this

i'm bob emler with wtop traffic center. >> several streets are scheduled to close tonight in arlington for the annual clarendon courthouse mardi gras parade. they'll close down at 6:45. the rest of the streets that you see highlighted there on the map will be closing at 7:45. the parade was postponed because of snow. but tonight's rain doesn't appear to be making much of a difference. folks will be out there having a good time. >> a little easier in rain than snow, i guess. >> yep. everything getting into it will be fine. let's talk about the rain. started with clouds and rain move in. expected around midday. let's look at rooftop camera and up the road in arlington but it's overlooking the clarendon area of arlington county. the clouds rolled in and then the rain moves in and that's the way it's been and is now and got some questions of how much more rain we'll see during the evening hours. as far as rainfall so far not been a whole lot. .19 of an inch in frederick and around the region it's cloudy with temperatures holding in the 40's tonight. big question we have right now about the
