this is the schuylkill eastbound the ramp from the schuylkill eastbound to the vine eastbound and what we can see right now is this ramp is completely blocked. here's this accident involving the tractor-trailer. for awhile we just had one police officer on the scene traffic was getting by but what a difference now. we've got multiple fire crews on the scene multiple penndot crews here as well and police here all blocking this ramp and, see the jam-up already on the schuylkill eastbound. you're already jammed from approaching girard to the vine and if you're trying to come into the city on the schuylkill eastbound you've got to use the river drives or exit at spring garden instead. so, this is blocked the ramp from the schuylkill eastbound to the vine eastbound. a lot of crews on the scene with an accident involving a tractor-trailer. new accident in lower merion, watch out for that one on gate moore road at morris avenue. that's causing a problem as well. otherwise i-95 starting to slow down now about 36 miles an hour near girard on the big picture. this fire location has been a proble

these are the lanes of 76 eastbound. if you are familiar with this area, this is you exit on the left-hand side to get on the vine street expressway. you can see things are backing up due to this accident because the ramp is closed. several emergency vehicles are out there responding to that accident. and it is really slowing some things down out there. i want to get you updated on your drive times so you know what to expect. 95 southbound is also slowing down, that is just due to normal volume for this time of the day. 18 minutes from woodhaven road to the vine street expressway. 76 here's the problem. 21 minutes from the blue route to the vine. take kelly drive to get around that exit on 30th street to avoid that area if you do need to get back onto the vine street expressway. so lower pots grove, we are seeing a problem on the route 42 bypass with an accident there to tell you about. and we have an accident on interstate 78. it's still causing problems. still shut down at exit 40. emergency crews are on the scene with

taillights are going eastbound. eastbound is where the crash is located. let's get you located with the maps. talking about the heavy flow of traffic. that's not the worst of it. the area where the camera is, westbound, your commute direction is really jammed up. by the activity eastbound 580. we currently have four out of five lanes, are blocked by a crash. a crash with injuries so severe they have to send a medical helicopter out there. as we know, the helicopter gets there they have to shut down the freeway so it can land to get the patient out of the area. we're still waiting for the right equipment to get out there to safety li stop traffic. that means big issues for both directions. westbound, commute direction, of course, traveling out of livermore to altamont. traffic has not built up there but it will be a big issue. in the south we had an earlier crash. that cleared to the shoulder and we have seen gradual improvement as the commute builds. still slow coming off 85, coming off 880. slowing down 87 and 85. that continues to build but nothing drama

forced evacuations from one of the eastbound bores. this is the view from a firefighter's helmet cam. two cars had crashed around 6:00 a.m. while that created a domino effect causing another accident where a ford taurus burst into flames. firefighters were able to get everyone out of the tunnel safely. >> then the explosions started. the car exploded. big bang. i got out and walked all the way out. >> you don't know where the accident is inside the tunnel so you're going to have to approach it from both ends. >> firefighters had just practiced responding to this kind of emergency in december and yesterday newly built vents sucked black smoke out of the tunnel which let crews work effectively. >>> 33 years ago a different story. this is the aftermath of a chain reaction crash that led to a deadly inferno in the caldecott. seven people were killed. >>> it is election day in israel and the big question, will the prime minister netanyahu get re-elected? netanyahu and his top challenger have taken opposite positions on a very crucial issue.

a three car crash and shooting on 580 eastbound this afternoon -- eastbound this afternoon sent one person to the hospital and snarled traffic in the commute direction. amber lee with what is happening and the status of the commute. >> reporter: i want to show you what it looks like out here. 580 eastbound near broadway. we can see two of the three vehicles involved in the crash. the california highway patrol confirmed three cars were involved and that one man suffered from a gun shot wound and was transported to the hospital and another person was seen running from the scene. no description of that person yet. the california highway patrol is working working with police to develop a description of the person. and you can see the two cars that are involved in this incident is blocking the number one and number two lane. one lane of traffic is able to move through. as you can see from sky fox this is caution major headache for commuters. no word on when this will get cleared up. it is early in the investigation. this incident started at 3:20 p.m. that is is what the california highway patro
