jummy: developing now. we are getting our first account from witnesses of a plane crash near the orange county airport. it happened this weekend. it happened just after takeoff. right now, virginia state police and federal investigators are back at that crash site trying to determine a cause. as mike conneen reports, the crash took the life of a 16-year-old pilot from spotsylvania. >> students at river bend high school in fredricksburg were stunned to learn one of their classmates, a student pilot died in a plane crash this weekend much the ntsb says witnesses including the flight instructor watched as the 1974 piper single engine plane banked left and crashed into a field sunday morning around 9:45 a.m. just after takeoff from the orange county airport. he was the only person on that plane and died at the scene. >> i'm sorry for his parents' loss because he's doing something that he loves to do. you know? mike: during morning announcements st the school's principal discussed mccall's death. district leader

jummy? jummy: today is a surprisingly close race as voters head to the polls in israel. america's key mideast ally. it's a referendum on prime minister benjamin netanyahu who is trailing in the polls. he reversed his official position with peace with the palestinians saying there will be no palestinian state if he's re-elected. turnout has been the highest they've seen in years. in a close election it could be weeks before a winner is announced. autria: a sports scandal is rocking the university of maryland baltimore county. five female lacrosse players are suspended for allegedly sending threatening messages about freshmen members of the team and the coaches. 16 pages of snapshots of the texts were anonymously sent to "the baltimore post examiner." overnight a p.r. firm issued a statement on behalf of four of the five that were suspended and it reads "words cannot express our sense of regret and disappointment in ourselves. we have been and continue to be focused on working privately with university leaderships to move forward." the school is still investigating. coming

jummy: a terrifying close call for a family in montgomery county. a car crashed right into an apartment building narrowly missing a sleeping child. jeanette reyes is in germantown as investigators try to figure out what happened. jeanette: chards of glass are strewn across the area as a car jumped the curb heading straight towards this bedroom window with two children found asleep inside. a picture like this is worth 1,000 words and at least a few questions. around 10:30 last night montgomery county fire and rescue responded to a gold sedan and a damaged apartment building. she says her 12-year-old son was sound asleep in his bed right next to the window when suddenly, he felt a loud crash that sent chips of paint flying into his face. the impact was strong enough to jolt him out of bed. bright car headlights shone into the room. everybody was shaken and confused. >> i'm thankful. i'm grateful. i think that that car would have gone over even more i don't know -- i don't know. jeanette: the woman behind the wheel stopped by and apologized repeatedly

jummy? jummy: see you then. we are awaiting word from the secret service on new lab results that will confirm whether a package sent to the white house contains the deadly poison cyanide. as mike conneen reports, until the third and final round of testing is complete, the agency won't comment on the investigation. mike: according to the secret service, initial biological testing of the package came back negative. but a second chemical test yesterday came back positive for cyanide. it has been transported to another >> i'm just praying for a safe return home. john: d.c. police have been stapgsed at the home all day long speaking with the family and trying to piece this all together. it's been nearly 24 hours since the 12-year-old demetrius brown went missing. authorities calling it a critical case in a crime ridden neighborhood. >> ran away from home. he's not at all. john: his family told me he's never run away but was recently punished. flyers have been posted on all the doors here in the apartment complex and
