health reporter stephanie stahl has more on the research to fix that problem problem as a middle schoolteacher for 35 years yvonne knew how to stay organize and multi task but after chemotherapy for breast cancer she became forgetful and depressed. >> i cannot remember what i have taught for all of those years because i could not remember the names of the countries and capitols and i thought i just can't teach. >> reporter: up to a third of survivors complain of memory loss and problems focusing after chemotherapy something called chemo brain. >> concrete examples i lose my place when i read and then i'm distracted by thought or by little noises. >> reporter: yvonne was part of the study investigating chemo brain. researchers created program of puzzles and test to help improve memory. yvonne's group did mental exercises for five weeks, another set did nothing. both groups underwent brain wave testing, researchers found woman who completed the mental kerr sizes significantly improved their ability to recall and performed better on memory tests. >> if you know understand a little bit about memor
