good morning i'm dave clark. let's talk about steve paulson. >> it looks good today. sunshine and warm temps. we start off even warmer than we were 24 hours ago be. that is for sure. after a chilly sunday morning. temperatures now starting off 40s but a lot of 50s here. temperatures eight degrees warm earl than 24 hours ago in fairfield. four in santa rosa. four in san jose. two at sfo. oakland is five degrees warmer. we're running 1-8 degrees warmer. there is not much in the way of warm. we'll go 71 many san francisco. but it's the inland temps which will have no problem warming up as the jet stream has gone well to the north. 40s but a lot of 50s. today will be the warmest day of the week. sunshine and warmer temps. but way above for inland temps. northbound 101 looks good approaching the 80 split. there are no major problems there. when you comp to the bay bridge toll plaza it has been a nice drive. there are no delays. not even in the cash lanes right thousand so it's a good opportunity and also let you know we have another half hour or so before things start gett

. >> good morning, i'm dave clark. let's check on your weather and traffic. rosemary is in for steve. looking good? >> looking good. it might get warm. we have another one in store at least around the bay and inland. temperatures will start to cool as we get along the coastline for today. it has to do with a localized sea breeze that is working its way back into the bay area. giving you a look at -- isn't that a nice shot? over the oakland area. i believe that is lake merit there. wow, what a gorgeous start to the day. the sun is on the rise we have mostly clear skies with one exception right along the coastline tracking a little bit of fog. the subtle changes coming our way. fairfield reports a light breeze. most of us are calm at this point because of the calm conditions. it's a cooler start for many of us. sfo reporting an on shore breeze at 9 miles an hour. as we get into the second half of the day the on shore breeze will cool down the coast in addition to help bring back the low clouds and fog. by 9:00, 10:00 notice partly cloudy. just off the coastline

. >> i'm dave clark. we're check -- i'm claudine wong. >> i'm dave clark. >> these changes will equate to a cool down and we'll all get in on this cool down. for now we're looking at plenty of sunshine over the bay and for the inland communities. for most of us, it will be another day of way above average temperatures. we're talking five, 10 15 degrees above where we should be for this time of the year. santa rosa typically 69, today you'll go to 80. san francisco 69 in the forecast. seven tiply in oakland. today, 82, your forecasted high and san jose, you'll be 12 degrees above the seasonable average with 82 expected inland. along the coastline a different story. this morning, we're waking up with the fog and low clouds seeping into the bay as well as into san francisco. this is going to stay with us. at least for the coastline for the afternoon today. for the city and inside the bay it will burn away and be left with mostly sunny skies. but this is where we'll see changing as dave mentioned we have 50s

i'm tori campbell. >> i'm dave clark. let's also talk about your weather and traffic and steve paulson knows your forecast. >>> what a drop compared to yesterday when temperatures warmed up to 90 for many. today they will drop from 5, 15, maybe 20 degrees. santa rosa, 76 from yesterday's 89. redwood city, down 16 from 86 to 70 today. these are the forecast temps. those are the highs yesterday. concord from 89 to 78. 84 in san jose to 74. that was downtown san jose. read ville hew east san jose i believe was closer to 87 or 88. if you are out that way and said, man, it's hot, it was. not hot, hot. but for us it got hot pretty quick. today we'll cool down just as fast. weak front coming in. that helps closer ocean temps. 40s and 50s on the lows. there's a lot of low clouds to go around if you don't have that and it's sunny, probably cool and breezy as well. temps will rebound from the 50s. a lot of 60s and 70s in areas that were in the upper 80s to near 90s. sal, things were crazy, busy. but have they calmed down a little b
