charlie: haider al-abadi became prime minister of iraq in september of 2014. a shia muslim, he was chosen by the president of iraq to succeed nouri al-maliki who was accused of discriminating against sunni muslims in iraq. al-abadi has received some praise for assembling a more inclusive government and for his commitment to fight isis. he came this week to washington seeking support in that fight. i spoke with him on thursday in washington just before he left for baghdad. mr. prime minister, thank you for doin
