[applause] >> good morning, everyone. i want to begin by thanking the secretary for his inspiring words on this 50th anniversary of congress voting on no child left behind. my name is rachel skerritt, i'm a principal here in washington dc and i work part-time providing input on initiatives and hard work on this. they really work to prove all of our nation's public schools 100,000 of them. i'm very honored to be joined by mr. wade henderson president and ceo of the leadership conference. thank you for joining us here today. and the real honor of the with all these beautiful students in front of us from local schools including dunbar and others. let's give them a hand for coming out. [laughter] let's start with the strengths at least. so we will go in order of when they announced i suppose. crews got in first. ted cruz and i both come from similar professional backgrounds. so you know we are both appellate litigators by training. they both served as law clerks at the supreme court. we tend to approach issues particularly constitutional issues in a similar way. ideologically i share a lot in common with ted cruz and i like his passion and i like his dedication to conservative principles and his willingness to fight even when it's hard. i have an enormous amount of respect for him. some of those same characteristics have also been characterized by some as a weakness as an achilles' heel for him. we will see how the primar

mail volume is continuing to dez kline over all. total mail volume in 2014 dropped to levels not seen since 1987. now in the face of all that, if postal service over past seven years reduced work force 20,000 employees, cut cost $16 billion. they've increased productivity. today the postal service delivers roughly the same amount it delivered in 1987 but with 173,000 fewer employees. even with these reductions and many more planned, they don't have the cash to pay down their debt or make much needed capital investment into their infrastructure. they need new delivery vehicles. if a downturn on economy or stressing event should affect the postal service it's concerning about their will liquidity. they have about 21 days estimated. despite all the bad news, there's good news. there's strength in the system. as i mentioned, the postal service is one entity that touches every american whether home or at work. the postal service literally delivers 150 million delivery points every day on a typical day to american households and businesse

joining us now is ed kline. author of "blood feud." good morning. >> good morning. >> you said the former president was on the fence and he's leaning toward no? >> what he's leaning toward is conflict. his concern is that if hillary runs and loses it's going to damage the clinton brand. worse, if she wins what happens to the clinton foundation? because it will come under tremendous scrutiny. he'll probably have to step aside. and worst of all he'll be able to fly around with a bunch of movie stars and pretty girls. >> he said i have to assess what she wants me to do and we have to change the foundation rules again. it's a long road. >> they have to come up with under scrutiny if she's president of the united states. i mean he's getting most of his great donations from these foreign governments, which is something he won't be able to do anymore. he knows that. his current lifestyle is so separate from hillary. he lives, a lot of time in little rock. he flies around the world doing whatever he wants to do. he won't be able to do that. >>
