. >> that's where nikki burdine is live this morning. nikki run us through what we know so far about the suspect. >> reporter: well this is clearly a huge break in the case but what we know about this suspect so far is that she's 21 years old and she is from southeast d.c. the woman's name straight of juan de fuca gal and she was arrested yesterday charged in david messerschmitt's murder. he was found stabbed to death in a hotel room at the donovan hotel back in february and since then police really haven't had any movement on this case until yesterday. now still though there are big questions like why was david messerschmitt a local attorney who lived here in d.c. with his wife in isth hotel room in the first place? police say condoms, lubricant and credit cards were all found in the hotel room. we also don't know what the relationship was if any between david messerschmitt and the suspect. now gallmon was working for a private security company in maryland up until december and her former employer told us she worked part time for them.

nikki burdine live at that scene in capitol heights with the latest. nikki? >> reporter: you can see there's still quite a few fire trucks out here now. and there is still a lot of crime scene tape just roping off this area blocking off what's left of that warehouse. you can see there's not much there. we've also seen a couple of firefighters walking around looking for hot spots but it's a very different picture than what our crews saw when they first got here yesterday. this was a massive fire and there were flames shooting from the building. it started at about 5:00 yesterday and the flames went up fast. the winds shifted and that caused those flames to move to the two fire trucks that were parked outside. those trucks caught fire and destroyed. about $1.5 million in damage. the trucks delonged to the kentland fire department and west lanham hills department. thankfully no serious injuries n. is of course something that everyone here -- this is of course something that everyone here is thankful for. >> we never lost two fire engines on a building fire. we h

let's go back to nikki burdine who is counting down to the first ride. 7:12 to be precise? >> reporter: 7:12. we are just over 45 minutes away from being one of the first people to ride those new trains. but we got a special preview yesterday. i want to show you some of that video. take a look. these are the new cars that you will be seeing on the blue line leaving franconia-springfield. again they'll be leaving at 7:12 this morning. these cars are very different from the old models. they're of course newer and nicer but they can't run with any of the old cars. in fact, they will have to run as one full eight-train car. they also have stainless steel frames as opposed to aluminum ones, digital screens and a modern blue color scheme as opposed to the outdated disco era scheme. they'll hold 40 more passengers but the biggest improvement is these cars are supposed to be saver. they do better in crash tests than the older models do. these cars have also been about five years in the making. right now there will be eight cars rolled out but there are more ordered and more will be
