it is just about here for the weekend erica, meteorologist erica grow has some answers. >> well, we will see those weekend plans affected especially on sunday. but today, we have the potential for some pop up thunderstorms, very similar to yesterday where we have the heat and humidity building. and then without a sufficient trigger to actually get the thunderstorms to bubble up and move, we'll just see isolated thunderstorms develop and then not move very much. so on 9 futurecast you can see a few of them in the mountains there but then starting to develop around the time you'd be getting the kids off the bus and maybe starting to make those plans for dinner. and notice they don't move very far at all. this is three hours later still raining in the same areas. now are these storms going to develop exactly here in western fauquier county and up into northern montgomery county? maybe, maybe not. it's very hard to predict exactly where those storms are going to bubble up. but suffice it to say we will see isolated threat for thunderstorms through the rest of today. and then tomorrow is most

i'm first alert meteorologist erica grow. our weather is going to remain pretty constant today if you compare it to what we had yesterday, not much of a change here. let's take a look at our michael & son weather cam and a gorgeous afternoon on tap. we're going to see those temperatures heading into the 80s again but right now it is 57 degrees in leesburg and gaithersburg. still 64 in hagerstown. we do have some fog west of the beltway but today's high temperature 83 degrees. that's also your 4:00 p.m. temperature. a chance of showers in the first alert seven-day. allyson will have that in a few minutes. right now time again for timesaver traffic. >>> traveling northbound on 95 coming from frederick going into dale city, woodbridge, lorton, newington toward the beltway, you're looking at a smooth commute. we usually see just some volume delays building up in dale city. you won't see much of that today but you should be able to get to your destination on time. meantime if you're traveling northbound on 395, shoe have no issues

. >>> i'm meteorologist erica grow. it's going to be wonderful today. maybe just a slight chance for a sprinkle but through the entire weekend, you'll see temperatures getting milder and milder. yesterday was a little on the cool side. our high temperature was only 64. today we'll begin about 10 degrees on that. let's start off with a look at the michael & son weather cam. our day planner, we have a good amount of sunshine peeking through the clouds right now. that tend will continue as we head through the day. just some high clouds from time to time. already 72 degrees at 1:00 and our high temperature of 74 will reach between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. also notice those winds are nice and light out of the northwest at only about 5 to 10 miles per hour throughout the entire day and sunday will be even milder than today. take a look at our current temperatures. we're in the 50s instead of the 40s north and west of town. it's 52 in hagerstown and frederick. 50 in manassas and fredricksburg. 46 at andrews closer to the water we're getting a little bit of that cool
