ktvu's meteorology m-t -- minimum wage m-t went -- mark tamayo -- meteorologist mark tamayo went there. >> reporter: h we should be standing in 5 -- >> we should be standing in 5 feet of snow. >> this is the first time we had zero snow. >> the snow pack is at record low. one of the reservoirs is feeling the impact. hetch hetchy collects melting snow. 85% of our supply comes from the sierra. over 2 million people rely on this water source. while park visitors walk on the dam, we hopped on a boat to see how the drought was effecting hetch hetchy. you might think it would be empty -- >> 80 billion gallons right now. >> reporter: she the assistant general manager for water at the california public utilities commission. even though it is 70% full, there should be a lot more. >> we will go up here, won't see snow. >> he has been a water shed keeper for 9 years. seen the highs and the lows. >> on a good year that water fall almost falls directly into the reservoir. when it is running hard and the lake is full, you don't see these rocks. >> reporter: it is flowing at 2300 gallons a second. for

let's turn now to meteorologist mark tamayo for more details on what's going on there. >> reporter: the 3:00 hour, very active in parts of east bay. you mentioned that fourth shock that happened at 3:01 at a 2.5. and a couple aftershocks right after that 3:14 and 3:28. it's been fairly quiet for the rest of the evening. you can see moving right on through concord. this is the concord fault and as it moves north that becomes the green valley fault. you can see the over all where it expands across highway 242 also out toward the airport as well. that's the latest from the concord fault. as far as the shaking reported across the bay area. you actually log on to the usgs website and over 4,000 calls. and there's at least one reason this is a 3.6. the depth right around 9 miles. that's considered a deep quake. closer to the surface. as i mentioned, it's been fairly quiet all evening long at least with any significant aftershocks out there to report. >> two minutes remaining. another party atmosphere at oracle arena. >>> fun party atmosphere indeed today. the warriors dominated the memphis gr

let's check in with mark tamayo. it's the unofficial start of summer. >> that storm looked sub -- stubborn for today. take a look at the highs from this afternoon. very cool out toward pacifica and san francisco. those readings only in the 50s. but as you saw in the inland neighborhoods they cleared out nicely. those readings in the 70s out toward livermore, antioch 76 and fairfield 74 degrees. fog already making a big come back as you can see in the satellite here we'll come in a bit closer and you will see the coverage a bit close e -- closer to the push out there. you can see the low cloud signature. tomorrow is going to be another cool day out there. here's a live camera. all those little drops on there correspond to drops hitting the camera lens. you have a report of drizzle near the coast and around the bay. that will be a factor tomorrow morning. here's a forecast model showing you cloud cover blanketing most of the bay area. tomorrow morning at 7:00. we're going to add drizzle to the forecast as well. we'll t

let's go to meteorologist mark tamayo. how unusual is this, mark? >> typically every may we get a system or two. the one yesterday was fairly potent. >> looks like winter up there! >> exactly. people living in tahoe, they kind of have two seasons. the warm season with the mountain biking, biking. and the cool with the skiing or snowboarding. everyone wants to get the bikes out there. snow is still pushing into the region and that's the case for today and tonight. lingering snow showers mainly up above 7000 feet in the mountains. as far as temperatures for today, back here in the bay area, we have lots of 60s. warmest location out toward santa rosa, 74 degrees. coolest location out in the pacifica area. readings only in the 50s, 65 degrees in san jose. sunday, bay to breakers, lots of cloud cover out there with skies becoming partly cloudy by 12:00 or 1:00. temperatures remaining on the cool side in san francisco on sunday, only in the 50s. around 52 to 58 degrees. on live storm tracker 2 right now, we talked about the snow in the mountains. still pi

mark tamayo is live in the weather center now. >>> an interesting weather setup. woke up to a lot of sunshine this morning but the clouds drifting in from the east instead of the pacific. we're tracking the rain showers moving in from the sierra over sacramento and over parts of the bay area. rainfall totals, not very impressive but a few to report as you can see toward the altamont past. 4/100ths and a few/100ths out towards campbell, san jose and here's the live camera. mt. diablo. you can see what i'm talking about. the location in moving in from the south and east and heading to the bay area so heading in this direction wrapping around an area of low pressure. the closer look at the radar, you can see all of that activity kind of flaring up within parts of the east bay. reports of the steady rain in alamo in the past hour. here is a closer look at the coverage for 580 and pleasanton. dublin and moving the maps to the south, some more coverage in parts of the south bay approaching morgan hill and gilroy. coverage on the radar to talk about. possibly into tomorr
