>> hi vai. i just got off the phone with homicide detectives who tell me no arrests have happened yet. a mother of two was injured. it happened on east walnut lane in germantown after a stray bullet hit the woman's home shattering some glass which then injured her. now earlier in the evening two men were shot along frankford avenue in kensington. one of the victims who was shot in the head later died at temple university hospital. the other deadly shooting happened in west philadelphia on north red field street. police there say two people were shot along north red field street by someone in a car and drove away after pulling the trigger. one of the victims from that case, the 36-year-old man died after arriving at presbyterian hospital. to recan, right now investigators are looking into six separate shootings, some in germantown some in west philadelphia. also a scene in north philadelphia and in kensington. they're looking for information. if you have any, give philadelphia police a call. repo

good morning, i'm vai sikahema. officials say the death and injuries from this fire likely could have been prevented. nbc 10's jesse gary has been working the story and has new information about possible criminal charges. jesse, what's this all about? >> reporter: well vai, the fire commissioner is focusing his critical gaze on the building that's closest to us. you see it has a commercial property on the first floor, but the building does not have a fire alarm system or smoke detectors as required by law. the commissioner said that failure likely led to the loss of life. fire officials say the flames started around 6:30 this morning. first responders arrived minutes later as some residents were already jumping to safety or scrambling out the door. >> i look out my front window and i see smoke over my head and people yelling there's a fire throw the baby out the window. >> daniel rodriguez escaped with only shorts and sneakers. he ran back inside his apartment to pull out his girlfriend and pet. fire officials say o
