. >> "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us from washington township with how they are managing without that power, good morning. >> reporter: erika and ukee, good morning. no doubt people have been wait hearing just to go about their day and to assess damage as they wait for their power to be turn back on. we're at whitman drive and as you can see this is much of what this area sees this morning, down trees yard, cars crushed beneath and to add more to this people in this neighborhood may have to wait until the weekend as you said to get their lights turn back on. that is the forecast that atlantic city electric, they are the provider for washington township out here and their target is to restore power to a hundred thousand customers by late sunday. they are hoping to have it done by midday on saturday. now ac electric is calling in crews from across the northeast and ohio to help out. and the mayor of the washington township says that they are a key part of the township's clean up efforts lets take a listen. >> it has to be a team effort. we have to have the electric company
