this is a portion of the obama care, that few people are talking about. the creation of these affordable care organizations they were in place before this came into place basically ushers these along and what it does is move the pay to play mind set of healthcare systems. it gets insurers and hospitals and doctors all working together to try to improve patient outcomes. we have seen a downturn or slowing of the healthcare costs it isn't clear whether that's because of the affordable care act, or the latentsy because of the recession, people putting off medical procedures. but what we look forward to in the next couple of years is how this will play out as a consumer, but also employers. there's that mandate that will require employers to cover more and more of their employees up to 30 hour as week. they have to give them health coverage, and that's how that plays out in terms of whether that forces small businesses out of the market, owhether that creeps these costs down that's something we have to look to. >> thank you so much. >> kathleen is a former se

in obama care. the brutal fight over obama care has never ended. republicans in congress have voted to repeal it over 60 times, they made it the focal point of their election campaigns. republicans shut down the government in an effort to defund obama care only cost the treasury $25 billion. the supreme court has now heard two challenges of the law, they voted to uphold it for a second time. republicans have thrown a lot of ugly rhetoric at obama care consistently, but they can't argue with the facts. over 16 million uninsured americans have obtained health coverage since obama care passed. the uninsured rate for americans is at 13.2%. the consumer protections in this law are saving lives. insurance companies can't deny people coverage with pre-existing conditions and there are no lifetime limits on coverage. all good stuff that republicans never backed. the law is working, and it is saving lives. let's turn now to ari melber who has spent the day at the supreme court. from a legal perspective, what

start with barack obama. i think the highest compliment i can give him, the one he would like most, is i do consider them to be fact hungry like lincoln. this was a problem for george w. bush, who was much more value-based. both of them have had difficulties that come from parts of the package that are not there. for barack obama, someone that read the book, said to me, it looks to me frankly as though maybe he is a bit too much of a. professor so, i said, that is exactly right. that is the problem. he is too much of a professor. he is explaining things the way i might. not the way ronald reagan would. for obama, he has not had as much of an overarching vision as the reconstructive presidents have. modern politics have made that difficult in ways we all know. he reminds me a little bit of george h.w. bush in a sense, he has run a competent presidency but without the vision overlay that you would want if you really want reach. for george w. bush, he wanted to be ronald reagan with his values. i do not think hi
