lets go to video of the crime scene in olney at sixth street. the calls came into police just after 11:30. police arrived to find that man on the sidewalk, stabbed in his back, punched in his face and shot in the left eye. all they know about the victim is that he is in his 20's or early 30's. that victim did tell police he was attack by two men and one woman who stole his wallet, cell phone and watch. he was taken to einstein medical center as police, set up their crime scene and began their investigation in olney. >> we do have several witnesses in this mainly residential neighborhood who witnessed not only the the assault ape robbery but also the shooting. they are being interviewed by northwest detectives at this time. >> reporter: police potentially have witnesses in this case and they are scanning that area for surveillance video in hopes of getting a a look at the people three people in the a attack. as for that victim he is believed to be in extremely critical condition and is now under going operations. we are live at police headquarter

nbc 10's matt delucia is live at einstein medical center in olney olney, not far from when the attack happened. >> reporter: we have been in contact with police throughout the morning. they're not sure if he's going to survive. he's in extremely critical condition here in einstein medical center. this happened just after 11:30 at 6th and somerville streets. philadelphia police say they got a 911 call for shots fired in that area. they get there, find this man lying on the sidewalk, bleeding from the back and leg. he had been stabbed in the back and shot in the thigh. the officers put him in their car and rush him to einstein. police are hoping that witnesses in that area will be of help. he was able to tell police he was robbed by two men and a woman. >> we have witnesses that witnessed the assault and robbery and also the shooting. they're being interviewed by northwest detectives at this time. >> reporter: detectives did find surveillance cameras in that area. the detectives say they'll be reviewing those as the day progresses sat manhunt continue ses as the manhunt continues this m
