turn it over to my colleague dave warren lots to talk about this weekend, dave. >> certainly is. no calm before that storm. we're watching all the information come in but this is associated with the rain that came through yesterday. very strong wind developing so this will be the next 24 to 48 hours at least. that northeast wind will really start to gust and it will continue to increase. the difference in pressure gets even greater here overnight tonight. so that persistent northeast wind looks like this with the wind gusts. they're gusting 24 to 21 miles an hour to the south. but if we look ahead to the future you can the see gusts start to increase by tomorrow morning. out of the northeast, 30 to 40 miles an hour. it will increase even closer to philadelphia. a little less to the north and then staying about 30 to 40 miles an hour out of the northeast. this is causing a problem because you get that water coming in with the high tide and really can't drain out of the lot of the bays this leads to coastal flooding a warning in effect overnight tonight and a watch in effect these

let's get right over to meteorologist dave warren. you have had a busy afternoon, dave. >> it will feel like fall. we are still tracking these storms moving through new jersey now. it goes from practically nothing with just a few clouds to a line of strong storms. no severe warnings in effect right now. still can see a gusty wind maybe even some damage but that wind not quite strong enough to get it up to categorize as a severe storm. it is moving through though the last hour you can see it quickly moved through philadelphia. the back edge already through portions of berks county and into chester county. so as quickly as this is starting it will end just as quickly tonight. here's this line. the leading edge is where you get the damaging winds and this is right through burlington county into tabernacle right along 206. a little farther south and we can see this moving into chester and gloucester county right through upper pitts grove and continues to push south about 45 miles an hour. it's moving fast and right through new castle coun

let's get right over to fox 29's meteorologist dave warren. dave. >> not much relief from the wind of the wind continues to increase. do you not normally see it lasting for like five days persist at the present time northeast whipped. each high tide gets higher. still some rain come through the area a little break so that steady heavy rain everywhere today. that will be clearing out. it's pushing to the north now. this is the last of this heaviest band of the next hour or so. this will slide through philadelphia pushing through northern new jersey. needed rain warranted drought little too much at once here. we actually set a record in philadelphia for the daily rainfall today. here it is and there it goes. starting to see a break up a little bit. look for a few showers tomorrow. but not a solid area of steady rain this is by tomorrow morning. just some light green and clouds around so a few breaks in those rain showers. no relief from the wind unfortunately. do not want to see this wind continue to gust 40 to 50 miles an hour along the coast.

this happened in north philadelphia, dave kinchen with more on this for us live, dave, good morning. >> good morning to you. homicide detective continue to work on this, they say it could be over a girl, that's what might have sparked this whole situation. meantime, family and friends of the 14 year old boy who died remembered him as a vigil yesterday. let guess to some video right now. dj de shield was remembered by family and friends at a vigil a few feet from where he was shot monday night on the 1200 block of tenth street in for the philadelphia. he died a day later. police are checking on the reports of the shooting being over a girl, investigators say, the victim road up on a bike, was shot, as he approached a group of boys. family and friends talk about dj, and also, spoke out against the violence. >> he was a great child. he was so fun, so talented. woe dance and sing, and he was so much fun and full of life. >> somebody got to be smart enough to realize that this got wheel of death got to stop spinning. >> a shame we are lining upgoing to a funeral more than we are going to

dave, what's the latest on these dam breaches across the state? >> well, good morning to you, jonathan. the very latest is so far 18 dams have been breached statewide. another nine in the middle. and we are here in the midlands in columbia here. and they've also done some of these controlled breaches to try to relieve some of the pressure. here's part of the concern. in this area where i'm standing, this bridge has been closed, this road has been closed, this is a major thoroughfare through the city of columbia right here. the reason is there is so much water to the north of here, this goes across dills creek. dills creek is right behind me right now, and dills creek is deadly rising, and as more water comes from the north to the south there will be even more water in this area. that veally the major concern. we've seen some of the headlines, flood worries rising, flood fears rising. we've seen a lot of fear in this area. it has been a dangerous few days. 11 people in south carolina are dead. another two up in north carolina. and really, people ha

rishaad: dave, thanks. dave mccombs, joining us from tokyo. a look at what's going on in china with the telecom industry. wireless carriers, news of a major restructuring when it comes to the mobile phone business. tim joins us now with more. what's going on here, and what's behind the reorganization? really, is quite simple. china tower is being set up to run, as the name suggests, the mobile phone towers that are dotted around china. like most countries, every individual telco has the run towers. sometimes they lease those from third parties. there's a lot of doubling up going on. so what basically happening is the government has stepped in and has suggested a new restructuring take place. so china mobile, china unicom, china telecom, will put together assets into the central unit, the central company, and essential company will be running at. the idea is to stop the doubling up and make it more efficient, and in syria 11 to free up money to put toward may be better technology or rolling out to the further provinces of china. rishaad: tell m

let's get right over to fox 29 meteorologist dave warren. everyone wants to know just how low we're going to go, dave. >> get down to about 30 that. will be the number here. so freeze watches in effect now. that's because we're not expecting the cold temperatures until sunday morning. still aways to go. likely we'll see warnings being issued both sunday and monday morning. they will be the coldest temperatures around 30. it does not inn collide the i name corridor. that's right around 202. lower montgomery, lower bucks and camden, gloucester county parts of burlington county not in the watch area. temperatures may not get to 32 those mornings. it will still be into the 30s. still could get frost. may not see that freeze. likely to see the freeze sunday morning and monday morning with that temperature below 32. it will kill the crops and outdoor plants. bring them inside or cover them. protect them. because the temperatures will be warming up. don't end the growing season just yet. not all that cold tonight. still about 54 in philadelphia. up
