davenport police arrested 28-year-old javon webb on thursday. webb faces several charges, including assault on a peace officer and interference with official acts while armed. the iowa department of public safety says webb struck a police officer with his car outside the new world lounge two on april 5th. on that date, police were handling a fight involving about 40 people in the club's parking lot. webb started to drive away, but police say his car hit the one officer. two other officers fired a total of seven shots into webb's car. webb drove to a hospital to get treatment for gun shot wounds. in august, the attorney general's office determined the officers' actions were justified. waterloo police say someone fired gunshots into a car yesterday. the waterloo cedar falls courier reports people heard gunfire in the area of locust and west third streets, just before noon. no one was hurt, but two bullets hit the passenger's side of the car. another bullet flattened one of the car's tire. oil was leaking from the engine when police arrived at the

davenport police say a suspected shooter who committed suicide was fighting with his estranged wife before he shot himself. bettendorf police say 40 year-old robert mayes was looking for his wife when he shot a gun inside a davenport law ffrm on monday. he then went to a second businesss in bettendorf and fired again. police say he was looking for a man at the second location, but they did not elaborate who that was. when officers spotted mayes in the parking lot of the second business, he shot himself in the head. the case remains under investigation. prosecutors are dropping the case against a former university of iowa student who spent more than two years in prison for sexual abuse. in 2012, a jury found e ean pfeifer guilty of third-degree sexual abuse. it was for an assault on a fellow student when he was a freshman in 2010. he received a ten year prison sentence. but earlier this year, aa judge threw out pfeifer's conviction and ordered a new trial. the judge cited the prosecution for misconduct and pfeifer's lawyers for mistakes. now, the johnson county prosecutor has dropped the ca

davenport police have arrested a man who police wounded during an incident outside a bar in waterloo. including assault on a peace officer and interference with official acts while armed. the iowa department of public safety says webb struck a police officer with his car outside the new world lounge two on april fifth. police responded after about 40 people started fighting in the parking lot. webb started to drive away, but police say his car hit the one officer. that's when another officer fired four shots through the windshield of webb's car. a third officer ran after webb and fired three more shots into his car. webb drove himself to the hospital for treatment for multiple gunshot wounds. then august, the attorney general's office determined the officers' actions were justified. in waterloo. cedar falls courier. neighbors called 911 just before noon, reporting gunfire in the area of locust and west third streets. no one was hurt, but two bullets hit the passenger side of the car. another bullet also flattened a tire. oil was also leaking from the engine when police arrived at the
