a man wanted on manslaughter charges in indiana is arrested here in eastern iowa. u-s marshals arresting 15-year- old diamonty newman outside an apartment complex in cedar rapids. authorities say he severely assaulted and killed a 44-year-old man in southern indiana back in september. he is being held in the linn county correction center -- awaiting extradition back to indiana. a local man is in the hospital tonight after being found with a gunshot wound to his leg. police were called to the 400 street around nine-30 this morning. they found 20- year-old phillip wilson, who said he'd been shot about 30 minutes before police got there. authorities initially said it looked like he may have shot himself. but a release sent out late this afternoon says wilson claimed he was shot, but wasn't cooperative with police.
