she's live in wildwood with what's happening there. eva. >> reporter: sharrie, streets are still pretty much rivers this afternoon here in north wildwood. you heard cecily talking about the wind. the wind is incredible. you can see the flag flapping in the wind. it earlier had rattled itself around the pole. now it is waving in the wind i want to show you how high the water came up at high tide. now we're almost at low tide. if you look at the water line you can see it eroded away some of the mulch that was in the flower bed. suing ohio line where the water was moving up as it continued to rise. it has gone down now but people are watching and waiting to see where this water will go next. it's hard to tell where the back bay starts and the island begins. >> usually when you go fishing over there, even on a high tide, you can see the grassy sound. you can still see all of the grass that's there. it's all covered with water right now. just the worst we've seen for awhile. >> reporter: at star cafe after a rush this morning, major lull. t

north wildwood alone lost nearly 1 million cubic yards of sand, but from this unique perspective, as you can see, city leaders found out that sand hasn't actually gone very far. >> real upshot of the videos we're seeing from that is the perspective. it's a perspective you can't get any other way. and naturally, those sand bars, usually, eventually come back ashore and merge back on to the beach. >> emergency beach repairs are already underway in north wildwood. a larger, previously planned replenishment project is starting soon. >>> and this is what the damage looks like in delaware. a professor from the university of delaware flew over the coast. taking pictures of beach erosion in one area, some of the beach front eroded. >>> almost ten minutes before 6:00, we're seeing some clouds move through the area this morning. that's the moon coming up. just some scattered light clouds in the region this morning. no sign of any rain just yet. 61 degrees, that's 1 degree warmer in philadelphia. but most of the area is running a good deal warmer from yesterday. right now, it's dry, later today

some streets are impassable from atlantic city to the wildwoods. the wind and rain caused bricks and concrete to fall from a senior home in wildwood yesterday. ocean city firefighters say they were prepared for what the storm would bring, but feel that we got a break this time. >> we got lucky it didn't go into some of the houses that we have. >> reporter: the winds were so strong, people had a hard time walking on the boardwalk. beach erosion is a major concern. you can see where the sand has formed a shelf in ocean city. >> at the big board we have a picture that you have to see to believe. the owner of a local landmark in cape may county is vowing to rebuild after his home was swept into the bay. the vacant home on grassy sound started to fail yesterday, and it was swept into turtle creek. >> the currents was so strong and the storm surge i looked at the timbers, 60 feet long broken like tooth picks. >> reporter: there's concern that the wreckage could break apart during high tide and become a hazard. the coast guard will decide whether to have

our cameras found this back bay home near north wildwood yesterday. the house collapsed rate friday night and the strong high tide lifted it off its foundation. fortunately nobody was hurt. for the latest on the flooding let's go now to monique braxton in the operations center. >> this is the fourth straight day of flooding, and coastal flood warnings for new jersey and delaware are in place until 6:00 tonight. these trucks were blocking the pike which was closed due to flooding. we just checked with atlantic city police and re-opened about an hour ago, and this is in skwrepbt inner. cleanup began on arizona avenue. down in wildwood, intersections were still consumed with about two feet of water, and this was during high tide. other people had to resort to paddling, as you see here, or swimming. >> water is everywhere. >> yeah? >> yeah. >> so you took the kayak out? >> yeah. >> what has been been like? >> fun, everybody is taking pictures. >> i have never seen it this bad. >> the storm caused power outages across the state, and folks we talked to are
