now we know the next speaker will be wisconsin congressman paul ryan. house republicans filed in to a closed-door meeting on wednesday afternoon. the last time they had a meeting like thh, california congressman kevin mccarthy dropped the bombshell that he wouldn't be seeking the leadership position. but this time was much different. the majority of house republicans voted for wisconsin congressman paul ryan. the man who had long said he had no interest in the position, making ear that family as a top priority. he said he would run if he had the support of his colleagues. and that's just what he got. gaining the support of freedom caucus, a group of far right conservatives that some say are responsible speaker boehner out. the freedom caucus didn't formally endorse ryan for speaker. the rest supported florida congressman daniel votes. for years there has been a fight between the conservatives in the party and gop leadership. ryan just might be the one to get them back on track. now the man who never asked for the job is likely on his way to becoming the
