our sister station in connecticut has been in contact with connecticut state police. they say the driver of the bus that was pulled over just not long ago was told to bring that bus back to new york. now, it has been cleared after being pulled over. it's unclear if it's part of the investigation into what happened here. we do know that detectives from the nypd did travel to connecticut overnight. let's show you some video now of the bus that was detained. it was a skyliner. on it, it says ck tours incorporated, from flushing. it's a skyliner bus that area around 8:00 last night. police from the 109th precinct responded to a call of someone being struck here around 8:30 last night. they discovered a woman with severe body trauma lying in the street. she was later pronounced dead. we spoke to a woman who actually got out of her car after noticing the victim on the street and said it appeared that the body had been there for several minutes. >> so i left the car right there, actually, you know. and i immediately ran over there, in the other lane, and i saw it's a body. >

i've got a lot of people in connecticut that are making $20 million. but if we are really being good stewards of the taxpayers' dollars, we should be wary of those that are making their fortune off of the federal dole. and that's what's happening today. and so senator durbin, i just wanted to add to this conversation a note on accountability. because that used to be one of the things that united republicans and democrats t. used to be, frankly the republicans, i'll admit cared more about accountability when it caims to came to federal dollars than democrats did sometimes. it was republicans in the second bush administration that started putting a lot of strings attached to education dollars that were flowing out of washington to make sure that there was actually quality attached to the money that was coming from u.s. federal taxpayers. but that era seems to be over. and unfortunately, we don't have a bipartisan consensus on accountability. we're about to approve a budget which a lot of republicans and a lot of democrats will vote for that will send $14

new york city, long island, connecticut coast, lower hudson valley. for veterans day it's 59 with rain leaving early. then clouds trying to break. on thursday we'll get right back in to some light rain. i think it will be spared from the morning commute. i think from 9:00, 10:00 in the morning through early evening there will be periods of light rain. about a quarter of an inch. as we go in to late week it's all about the sun coming back but gusty winds. friday and saturday. worst cases there's some extra clouds on friday afternoon with a stray shower in the catskills but for the most part it's just about wind. same thing on saturday. i think sunday is the better half for the weekend. more sunshine, lighter wind and a couple degrees milder. pretty close to normal. if you notice in to early next week, we're not getting that chill. 60 on monday, 62 on tuesday. just looking at the long range now, i think we're waiting till thanksgiving till we really get a cold shot of air. >> can you imagine? >>> yes, of course, these time. to you. but there are plenty
