about just a question hillary clinton's vulnerabilities. she is in a strong position right now in the race but polling shows that in the broader public, there are concerns about whether she is honest and trustworthy. at this very much seems to be an outsider year. you see that happening in both the democratic and republican primaries. i'm wondering if she doesn't face the challenge, as an ultimate insider when people are hungry for something different? raymond buckley: well, i certainly think that if she is the democratic nominee for president, she will be able to operate and envision the american public in a way that with -- that will withstand those conditions. she has a remarkable record. nominee, out of philadelphia in july, we do believe she will be successful. she is certainly going to be successful in new hampshire. matt: what do you think we will be surprised by? this whole thing has been surprising all along. what are you looking for in the next two months? what are we not talking about right now that we will be surprised by as vot

dennis: you had an advantage for hillary clinton. she was able to describe also it's a problem areas in the world, including the various nuances that make them so difficult to deal with. bernie sanders, i think, had the opportunity to establish some credibility on foreign policy in his opening statement, but after a few words about paris and how terrible that was he pivoted immediately to his economic message. i think at was a lost opportunity. martin o'malley in response to a particular question about whether governors are equipped to deal with these matters, which always applying both parties when we have a governor as an nominee without foreign-policy experience, he had a fairly weak reply terms of saying that we had to keep articulating american values. a response to the crisis at the state or local level, i thought that was a tragic air -- error. i saw him trying to walk that back afterwards, saying he wished he would have talked more about homeland security during the debate because he has all of these homeland security credent

hillary clinton had a fantastic october. she's up, since the end of september, she's up nearly ten points, now doubling up bernie sanders, 62 to 31%. clinton has also gotten some great news in the early states, iowa, where she'd been in a close race with sanders, she's now expanded her lead significantly there. and in new hampshire, where sanders had been ahead, hillary clinton, we're now seeing polls that put her back in first place there. so that debate performance she had, that performance before the benghazi committee, october seems to have been a very good month for hillary clinton. we can look back, though. where did the democratic race stand the last time there was a competitive democratic contest, at this time in the campaign? that would be in the fall of the 2007, hillary clinton was doubling up, barack obama then, of course, you remember, barack obama, once he won iowa, once he won those iowa caucuses, the numbers really turned dramatically for him nationally. some of those key states, especially. south carolina, s
