four defendants in a 2013 murder-for-hire case out of james city county have learned their fate. all four pled guilty. john mackay, nicole and nace houchin all received life sentences. however mackay will only serve about 28 years, nicole houchin about 24 years, and nace houchin about 40 years because the rest of the time is suspended. gregory crawford will serve 17 years and 40 years probation. the four are accused of killing mackay's wife, dana in 2013. it was a shoplifting suspect who apparently put the bite on a york- poquoson deputy. 33-year-old francisco romo- maurico is charges with felony shoplifting and felony assault on police officer. the deputy confronted romo- maurico when he tried to flee tabb walmart after allegedly shoplifting. but romo-maurico ran. during the physical altercation, romo- thumb. a suspect in a robbery from october is still on the loose. now virginia beach police are asking for your help. detectives have released this new video from the 7-eleven on newtown road. the man went into the store, showed the clerk what police describe as an archery type we
