annie mccormick is live in atlantic city, she has details. good morning, annie. >> reporter: good morning, it's windy it's cold down here in atlantic city. later on this morning twhekd -- they could expect to see some flurries. we got the blizzard, they got a big amount of snow, but the big issue is coastal flooding. they are not expecting to see like that this time around. coastal flood is expected today through tomorrow, coast flood watch monday night through tuesday afternoon. high tide is around 6:30. this could impact roadway flooding especially during high tide and makes conditions for the possibility of minor tidal flooding. wind gusts, back here live on the boardwalk, wind gusts are expected to be high around 40 miles per hour. right now picking up a little bit of speed, the temperatures are dropping, as well. for now we're live in atlantic city, annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." >>> with flooding and snow in the forecast keep 6abc.com open all your devices, rely on double scan radar to learn where the heaviest rain is heading.

it will be rain initially in atlantic city. as we push up to 9:00 a.m. it's possible as the system pulls away from us, it wraps wet snow into areas close to trenton, ocean county and burlington and atlantic county. we're only expecting small accumulations out of that. tomorrow, a second system arrives this one has winter storm watch that kicks in tonight and in through tuesday night. in this case we're looking at snow coming through. it looks like we'll get accumulation. might be a little bit tonight, but especially through the day today and tomorrow night. in addition a coastal flood watch is in effect minor flooding because of the onshore flow from the pasting coastal storm. minor tonight and tomorrow, with the persistent onshore flow we'll bump up to moderate. we have a blustery windy blowing it's not precipitating anywhere other than down by the shore. 43 degrees by 3:00 p.m. which is where you would expect to be in february. it is going to be windy out and later this afternoon and tonight a couple of flurries and snow showers start to build back in.

annie mccormick has the story from atlantic city. >> reporter: this part of the atlantic city get flooded even on a average day, this is worse than normal, they say that number of people staying here had to rush to move their cars. near the intersection of gramercy place and maine watch the water break against the walls and people around. birthday girl couldn't get enough of the natural beauty out in front of the hotel. >>> i think it's george us being out in it. driving no. >> reporter: the shore got a little bit of rain and the storm stayed off the coast, but it caused an onshore flow and enough tidal flooding to affect several areas. on mediterranean high water trapped this red car. nearby absecon on the white horse pike police blocked a lane of traffic. on the black horse pike in egg hard pour township police shut down the road after two vehicles tried to wade through and needed a tow to get out. many are thinking about damage done weeks ago even though the next two days are expected to be minor compared to that weather event. >>> every street is so flooded. >> reporter: danielle want

. >> matt delucia is live in atlantic city. what are the conditions like there? >> right now we're still seeing rain out here, vai and tracy. we did see some of that change over to wet, heavy snow as we were on the atlantic city expressway coming up to this area. right now on the boardwalk, it's wet. it is warmer as bill was talking about down here at the shore. that's why we vice president seen anything in the form of snow sticking to any of the surfaces. of course, we are expecting that changeover to happen relatively soon. but we do see some of that minor, very, very minor flooding off to the sides of the roads on some of the roads as we were coming in here to atlantic city. you see some of the water collecting on the side of the roads. really nothing too bad out here at all. as we've been talking about all morning, it's that kind of weather where you can't pretreat the roadways because of the rain that's falling and all that salt/brine solution would wash off the roadways. we did see a plow truck that you would normally see on the boardwalk, we see plenty of

another place that's already seen snow, atlantic city. our cameras caught some light flakes falling earlier this evening. tonight, live team coverage. we begin with nbc 10 first alert meteorologist sheena parveen tracking this storm for us. sheena? >> yeah, jim, we have seen the area in the area but breaking up. this is a look at the radar. there's the snow moving into south jersey. philadelphia area. suburbs up into the lehigh valley and with this we continue to see the snow as we go into the next 24 hours so we have some weather across the area. advisory in purple. meaning we expect to see snow in these areas. and then the warning area in pink expecting to see the most amount of snow in this area and an inconvenient time running until 6:00 a.m. wednesday. accumulating snow, not the whole time. not all of tomorrow. but for parts of tomorrow that snow will be accumulating and some of it during your commute, too. south jersey, parts of cumberland, cape may county. light snow falling there. up into the philadelphia area and then up into par

for atlantic city, 7:42. between 8:00 and 9:00 this morning, we saw flooding yesterday and the tides will be running high again today. more moderate flooding is a possibility today. satellite shows the clouds overhead behind these clouds is a mix of rain and snow. it lines up to the south. it's going to be moving into our area this morning. the steadiest snow and rain will be to the south for most of the important. this is 6:00 this morning. some light snow and rain in delaware and south jersey. and then by noontime, it kind of falls apart in south jersey and in dover, the warming continues. see light snowfall into extreme southeastern pennsylvania. as we go into the afternoon and evening hours, that's our best chance of seeing some snow showers in the area. periods of snow but temperatures will be above freezing for much of the day today. that's really going to limit snow accumulation. we're mostly looking at grassy surfaces in our area. seven-day forecast, tracy, when i come back in the next half hour. >> g
