chuck bell telling us about the aftermath of the storms. >> it will be a windy did day outside. don't be like this guy, don't let your umbrella get flipped inside out. have your gust bhuster ready to go. winds could gust between 35 and 40 miles per hour. cold air is spilling in as winds come from the northwest. the weekend is looking really nice, all be it kind of cold. so future wind gusts that's what you're looking at here. most 20 to 30 around the metro, but higher elevations could gust well over 40 miles per hour. there is a wind advisory in the shenandoah valley and along the blue ridge. winds could gust 50 mus miles per hour plus miles per hour in the highest elevations. rain chances, take your umbrella with you to play it on the safe side. therere with here this morning. lots of wind and passing showers, temperatures near 50 now in the low 40s by 7:00 tonight and below freezing for most by tomorrow morning. that is a cold one. the wind may have an impact on traffic. let's find out from melissa. >>> a couple of problems around town. went definitely having an impact with so

i'm meteorologist chuck bell. weather alert to keep you ahead of any potential problems this morning that may come up due to some very thick fog morning. be ready for that dramatically reduced visibilities in some spots. worst of it now parts of northern maryland and out into parts of northern virginia, as well. but there is an improving pattern here. an hour or two ago, visibilities were much closer to zero, but drier air is trying to work its way in. that should help eat up the fog. the advisory go until 7:00 a.m. thickest is in annapolis and culpeper. 3 mile visibility there. as far as rain chances, a little sliver of showers here drifting its way through prince george's county going through bowie, down in brandywine and rosaryville and eventually into charles county and st. mary's county. not a lot of rain, but that's the leading edge of the drier air. so fog thickest along and ahead of it, drier air back out here to the north and west, that will be an improving weather picture it by later on. but not entirely

i'm storm team 4 meteorologist chuck bell. road impacts through the day with all of the storms last night and through the morning, a could be one or two spots through the day. no problems through the day. temperatures above freezing. and really not that much precipitation. as a result, minor issues at the most. as far as snow this morning, here goes the end of flurry round number one. still flurries along the western shore of the chesapeake bay, but most of that has moved on to the eastern shore. most round of flurries arrived between 3:00 and 7:00 into early this evening. your commuter forecast, plenty of clouds this morning. temperatures are below freezing. so it's a cold start. again, another round of flurries. temperatures should be in mid to upper 30s. as a result, i don't think that's going to have much of a stick to the roads effect. colder air is set to move into the area in a big way. starting overnight tonight, into tomorrow. then going on into the weekend. it's going to be real cold. the coldest air of the winter. b
