so far there has been no confirmed cases of zika and orange county but osceola county has been affected. none of the cases came from mosquitoes in our case. none of them throughout the entire state, in fact that every person contracted the virus in another country which is important to point out the is a matter of time before someone is infected -- who was affected is bitten and then that mosquito effects someone else in florida. that's why the mayor this morning made a plea to those traveling to affected countries to make sure you do not get bitten by a florida mosquito for at least two weeks after returning to the states. >> if you are traveling to any of these countries that are high risk, when you come back, please be very conscientious and for two weeks that you do not come in contact with mosquitoes because we do not want our mosquitoes to become infected and transmitting it. control locally will take a lot of action including upping the spraying and checking for sitting water on people's properties and they say that is the most important thing residents can do to dump out sitting
