shawn chitnis with a closer look. good morning, shawn. >>reporter: good morning, britt. we know that hobbs will not return to the school district. he was hired last year in october and didn't have issues before that. here's what we understand what happened yesterday while dropping off 30 students from west valley middle school. a woman with the school district contacted staff to tell them that she thought she smelled alcohol on him. so while he was on his route, she told the transportation department, she didn't think he looked our sounded drunk based on how he was walking or talking. hobbs was driving a route that has one stop and all 30 students from west middle school got off the bus safely. after finishing his route, the he was and medics checked him out and they said he was fine. the arapahoe county gave him a sobriety test and said he didn't pass. this possible dui may not be related to alcohol. hobbs said he had the flu and taking medications to treat it. the results of his blood test is still pending. hobbs will be in court later today. live in greenwood village,

shawn chitnis is live from the scene. shawn, what can you tell us? >> britt, police are looking for one man in the car that crashed into the woman. there's rocks in the lanes because the rocks as the car was dragged almost 100 feet. here's what we know from arvada police. this happened just after 10:00 where three men were in a jeep heading south on sheraton and they hit the woman's car, a chevy malibu. she was killed instantly and her daughter was in the car. she understand she was taken to the hospital. we don't have an update on her injuries. the three men did run away from the scene. police did catch up with two of them including one they believe is the driver, but they are still looking for a third man that was in that car. one of the two men that police were able to catch up with and start talking to, he was also taken to the hospital for injuries that he needed to be treated at this point. we have no update on his condition as well as, again, the 15-year-old daughter that was in the car. police are working to continue their investigation here

this is a parent's night mayor here, shawn. >>reporter: alan, it started thought she smelled alcohol on that bus driver. and so she notified the school district. while michael hobbs was taking the 30 students from west middle school from the school to their homes on their regular route, that woman says she didn't think he sounded or acted drunk. all 30 students got off the bus safely. after finishing his route, the district told him to stay where he was and medics checked him out and they say he was found, but the arapahoe sheriff's office gave him a road side test and he didn't pass and they arrested him because he may have been under the influence while driving. that potential dui charge may not related to alcohol. hobbs said he had the flu and taken medication to treat that. the results of his blood test are treating -- are being treated, excuse me. we should mention that hobbs first started working for the school until yesterday, there was no issue with his time at the school district, but staff with the district mentioned
