trayvon smith is being charged with a murder. we will go live with the story. >> reporter: this is day six of this trial, and jurors are hearing more from an interrogation video of the suspect, smith, who is on trial. here is smith somewhering the courtroom around 9:30 a.m. he's one of three people the 2013 murder of melissa huggins jones. yesterday they played portions of a 7 hour interrogation of smith. they played 20 mince yesterday and want to play a total of about 80 minutes. the judge only allowed them to hear edited portions to show the investigative techniques not to determine the truth of what anyone was saying. in the video today, smith keeps his head down for much of the interrogation as detective asks him about breaking into cars in north hills area and what the other suspects are saying. >> do you understand what's going on right now? i am telling you that you have two people that you were with that are accusing you of murder. okay. and the only thing you have going for you right now is your opportunity to help yours
