what do you make of the current debacle in brazil? vincent: we are not making any political assessment of the situation. most economies agree on the fact that we need some leadership change in brazil. we are nearer to this point now then a few months ago, so it's probably a good thing. looking from an investor's perspective, what we have seen this year are two important triggers to make the emerging market more appealing, stabilization of commodity prices and emerging-market currencies. the cost of hedging emerging-market currencies dropped substantially, which means we can make decent money both on themarkets, debt and equity side. we still need a few additional elements to be bullish on individual markets. momentum is growth missing in most countries, and this should turn into earnings momentum for the equity market. we are missing those elements at the moment, but looking back at the performance of assets, there's an inflection point for emerging markets already behind us. looking at the flows, we have strong momentum since the beg
