mike: kev, we'll talk to you later. thank you. a bomb threat in boone county, and the woman accused of calling it in was an assistant principal at the time. wlwt news 5's emily wood. is live at conner middle school tonight, with more on what investigators found out emily? emily: boone county schools says jennifer warford was the assistant principal, at this middle school when she was accused of calling in the threat to a florence restaurant last month. according to court records warford claimed she was having a panic attack and called police. a month ago, the defendant, jennifer warford claims she overheard people at logan's roadhouse talking about hating bomb. boone county court documents say warford called 911 dispatchers and stated, 'somebody just reported a bomb at logan's in florence. please hurry. then hung up. dispatchers called warford back and she denied making the call, but admitted during a follow-up interview that she was in fact the original caller and lied to officers. warford currently faces one count of falsely rep

mike: the family of a st. bernard man, beaten to death in his home, is not happy with the sentence for the man' s attackers. carl engel suffered for at least 3 hours before he died, and his children want the defendants to suffer too. wlwt news 5' s jenell walton is live from the courthouse with the story jenell? accepted a plea deal with --. one being sentenced to 37 years another 10 years. the victim' s family says they should have been put to death. >> he took my dad' s life for $400. reporter: cynthia koehler says she wanted judge nadine allen to give the defendants james kirby, mario lewis and chasidy brewer, the maximum sentence, even though the prosecutor agreed to a plea deal. >> our interpretation of the law is that she definitely had some judicial discretion in which she could have imposed some additional time. reporter: prosecutors say 73-year-old carl engel was severely beaten by kirby. >> he had been beaten for an extended period of time with such items as a can inside of a sock used as like a swin

mike: i' m mike dardis. a day after a shooting that injured four students. parents and students are going back into their classrooms as we speak. a chance to feel safe before classes start tomorrow. ve learned the alleged shooter had extra ammunition with him yesterday. the actions f a school resource officer prevented this shooting from being much worse. we have team coverage tonight. sheree: karin. reporter: by all accounts james austin hancock was well liked. students say he was happy kid, a wrestler at madison junior high. and he had no criminal past. a madison township family consoling one another outside of the courtroom. inside, they were brought to tears as james austin hancock made his first appearance before a magistrate. >> court will enter the denial of the charge. reporter: the 14-year-old' s attorney denied the charges that' s the equivilant of pleading not guilty in adult court. hancock is charged with a handful of felonies including 2 counts of attempted murder. >> we talked to the shooter

mike i' m mike dardis. it touched down in brookville, outside dayton, around 2:00 this afternoon. sheree: chief meteorologist kevin robinson has a closer look at the tornado and what we can expect as we head into the evening. kevin: good evening. we don' t have to worry about severe weather this evening. this was a rogue storm near the dayton area. here is interstate 70 at the top of your screen. this is the storm. it does not look very impressive. fortunately, the tornado was not either. lots of video. we were able to capture some of that. this was courtesy of the police department. in the center of your screen, you can see the rotation. towards the fortunately, this was a weak tornado. fortunately, it was over rural areas and open farmland so this damage. over with now. the only thing we are worried about is a few scattered downpours west and east of cincinnati. brown county and west union towards highway 52, some of these will move in your direction. it is going to be dry or most of us this evening. most of the rain is over. it should be a decent evening with temperatures in th
