a red wood city jury found that seven-month-old abigail was suffocated by a mattress pad made by evenflo. her parents are sharing their story, but evenflo is defending their product. here's abc7 news reporter katie marzullo. >> just seven months old, she stopped breathing at daycare. her father was out of the country. >> i'm running through the are streets of berlin and praying she's still with us and calling out to her, don't leave, abby, don't leave. >> abigail died at the hospital. she'd been asleep on her back in another room at the daycare. the coroner called it sids, and they believed it. until little plaices report concluded that abigail had actually been put on they are stomach. >> putting a baby on her stomach is not a crime, and it happens, and she should have been able to breathe on the mattress. >> it was a mattress pad inside an evenflo play yard. they said it was the equivalent of a plastic bag, the jury concluded. >> you put the baby on your product, the baby cannot breathe, and the baby will die. >> he hopes the legal victory will lead to change. >> what we need is a law
