as charlie cray a research , specialist for greenpeace. he was the lead researcher on the fossil fuel lobbyists' contributions to the clinton campaign. therding to the research, clinton campaign has received more than $4.5 million from lobbyists, bundlers, and large donors connected the fossil fuel industry. clinton maintains that she's received only about $330,000 from individuals who work for fossil fuel companies. we welcome you both. eva resnick-day, described the scene when you were able to question hillary clinton. how hard was it to get to her? >> absolutely. it is pretty difficult to make sure you will get to the front of a rally, and even have the opportunity to stick your hand out and, hopefully, get to ask a question to secretary clinton. from 350d an activist action named miles had weighed about six hours in order to make sure that we were at the front of the line stephen get the opportunity to propose this question. amy: had you been trying before this day? >> absolutely. this is a larger climate movement of thousands of activ

our communities tend to be the most sympathetic to the cause of groups like greenpeace when it comes to actually supporting, protecting the environment. so what you see there, i think, is her, quite frankly, getting nervous. she took $4.5 million for her campaign and her superpac from the fossil fuel companies, and folk folks, i think, rightly come to the conclusion that it's cash for her. >> it was also brought up that she was investigated by the fbi. do we need to be saying more about bernie sanders? >> i think it's unfair to compare the candidate and the candidate servers. what we need to see is the candidate losing their cool, losing their discipline. ms. dawson is a great surrogate and can speak for herself, but i don't think we can really compare the two. >> do you ever worry about reining in surrogates? and this goes for every campaign. if they're out there representing you, is there a message? >> things are so crazy on the republican side, i think what we have going on on the democratic side really pales by comparison. and no, i don't think there is any need to rein in. i thi

i haven't heard bernie sanders make that case including greenpeace. if she arriveded a the same position as senator on frac and they both want to ban fracking, but if she took too long, they're saying because she has this fossil fuel money and has to industry their industry point of view more closely, that's a pretty abstract argument. if they think she's being swayed. if they think she's being corrupt in some sense, they really should give us the proof. journalists will continue to dig. i've certainly been doing some looking. if you can't prove it. you can't make the accusation stick. >> okay. let's move on to wisconsin here because last hour clinton's former campaign manager said sanders is likely. it was kind of a concession. likely to win wisconsin. is there any indication that what happens in wisconsin will affect in any way what happens in new york? as a new yorker, i can't tell you that. i can't even imagine how it would. now, the sanders supporters. let's say he wins or wins convincingly in wisconsin. he'll have a much needed shot in the arm.

[ light laughter ] but sanders is also has also cited a greenpeace report that claims "clinton has taken $4.5 million from lobbyists, bundlers, and large donors connected to the fossil fuel industry," although in clinton's defense, the vast majority of that went to a super pac supporting clinton, which she has legally barred from coordinating. voters can decided for themselves how much any of this matters to them. but it's probably not wise to assume that the voters who are concerned, specifically young people, are just naive and to imply yesterday on "meet the press." >> i feel sorry sometimes for the young people who, you know believe this. >> right. >> they don't do their own research. >> seth: well, young people feel sorry for you that you can't get into da club. [ laughter ] now, there are some in the media and the democratic party are who concerned about what they say is the increasingly negative tone of arguments like this, but it's important to remember that this happens every time there's a contested democratic primary. first, one candidate
