vai? >> this weekend, about 40,000 runners will run ten miles down broad street. >> it's the country's largest ten-mile race. we found a group of high school refugees who are rung the race on sunday. >> matt delucia, you spoke with some of the refugee students. they're giving new meaning to the term running for your life. >> some them have been running their entire lives. out of the 1,300 or so kids, they take part in the blue cross broad street run and the philly marathon and all sorts of other races in between. but out of those 1,300 kids there are about 50 to 100 immigrants and a handful of refugees among them. for many of them, this will be the longest race they've ever run. they train at least twice a week. they're doing it for a number of reasons, from trying to be more competitive for college or to overcome challenges of life. the second student you'll hear from in just a moment, she and her mom, a journalist, they were run out of tajikistan. they feared for their lives after her mo

>> reporter: well, i just talked with the police chief, vai. and he tells me he's right now writing up the paperwork which will detail all of the charges that this accused kidnapper will face. i also spoke with the judge here who tells me he is prepared for an arraignment here at district court at 1:30 this afternoon. it was surveillance video from the king of prussia mall last night that brought in a lot of tips. it was about this woman and where people spotted her with the baby. she is accused of befriending a family in the food court. she walked up, just like a stranger, but she eventually ran off with the 7-week-old when she went to care for it when it was crying. police moved from point to point in both montgomery and chester counties eventually finding her and a baby at a home when that news reached dozens of the baby's family members gathered at the upper merion police station there was a huge sense of relief after hours of waiting and agony. still, the family wants to know why a family would take an infant like this. that baby's grandfa

. >> good morning, vai. that hearing has just begun. lawmakers are continuing to debate what's the best way to get atlantic city out of its money troubles. an assemblyman trying to get his bill passed he says it will help protect jobs and get atlantic city out of the fiscal mess. the plan is being pitched in trenton right now. city officials have said the city would be out of money by friday. and they'd have to shut down city operations keeping only essential staff working, but they wouldn't be getting paid. yesterday city council ordered a new pay cycle for the employees there. so they'll be paid on friday, but not again until may. that will allow the city to collect may property taxes and use those funds to try and stay afloat, while state senators have passed a governor christie-backed plan to bailout atlantic city, the plan is one that the mayor has said he does not support. now, the mayor and the governor were both in atlantic city yesterday talking about the city's issues. and the two did not meet. instead, they offered dueling pr

good morning, deanna. >> reporter: good morning, vai and tracy. sister kimberly miller was out of the classroom since november when video of her arrest surfaced. on the tape you see her stumble as she's asked to perform field sobriety tests. she appears to be animated and later video shows her giving investigators a breathalyzer. police say she was driving at two times the legal limit. police say miller backed her car in a meineke in the early morning hours of november 7th and kept on driving. police video shows them carrying a bottle of wine from her car. the little flower teacher has been on leave from the classroom since november. the archdiocese of philadelphia released a statement back then saying that the incident didn't involve any students, didn't happen on school property, however, an online petition has been moving forward since november with more than 2,000 signatures asking for miller's return to the classroom. again, she's expected to be in court here in washington township later on this afternoon. reporting live in washington townshi
