the latest attack happened here inside of this theater in downtown santa rosa. it was yesterday afternoon, just about 4:00 in the afternoon. it was shortly after the movie the shallows began playing in one of the theaters. police say a man with a knife came help -- up behind another moviegoer in stabbed him several times in the throat and chest. the 23-year-old attacker tossed the knife in a trashcan and calmly walked out of the theater. officers were able to arrest that man not far away from here in the victim was left in life- threatening condition. this morning police are trying to figure out if the attacker from the movie theater yesterday is the same person who stabbed a homeless man to death earlier this week. in that case the victim was stabbed 50 times as he slept in a doorway in downtown santa rosa . police have not identified the man that they now have in custody who again they are questioning potentially in connection with both. we reached out this morning to santa rosa police department looking for more information on this ongoing in -- investigation
