racine county making progress against the bluff erosion threatening homes along the lakeshore. and there's a multi-million dollar plan to tear down -- or repair -- vacant milwaukee homes. but questions still remain how that plan is going to work. kim is in the newsroom with more. milwaukee mayor tom barrett's office provided no specifics yesterday about a blight-reduction effort -- leading community members to question how the plan would help their yesterday and started tearing down a house at 50th and clarke -- which had been badly damaged in a fire two weeks ago. city officials said they'd given the property owner 30 days to decide whether to tear it down or repair it. it's one example about concerns over blight in milwaukee. these empty houses - nothing good happens in them. theyre either stripped or used for drugs or truancy - whatever neighbors at 33rd and hadley vacant house for months. it was on the city's list to tear down. it finally did come down -- only after it caught fire two weeks ago. we're told there are 400 condemned homes on the city's list. meanwhile -- homeo
