atlantic city at the airport, 63. philadelphia, 64. and dover, checking in at 66 degrees. here's the latest on hermine. you can see it spinning this huge counter clockwise circulation wrapping around the center which is approximately 300 miles out to sea, the rain bands are well off to the north. this again is expected to take somewhat of a jog closer to the coast over the next 24 to 36 hours, look at the trajectory of the line here you're piling the water in on the coast. the problem a little is, we have a high tide that's higher than normal. when low tide comes because of the onshore flow, the water can't recede, so the low tide comes. these are the spaghetti plots, there's uncertainty in the exact track of the storm. obviously the closer it turns to the coast, the greater the impact it's going to be. farther a way, the less of the impact. this one is close to the coast, these models have it 100 miles east of what that model is suggesting. that 100-mile shift, until it makes that turn toward the east/northeast that'

the times of high tide 10:00, atlantic city 10:30. rehoboth beach, monday morning's high tide will be another big one to be concerned about. now, how close are the strong winds? 65 miles away from the 40-mile-an-hour winds. so even the storm is 270 miles away, the stronger winds are much closer than that. the 54-mile-an-hour winds are 120 miles away, so that storm has to go to the left quite a bit for us to get winds of that speed. so, again, we're in better shape tonight than we were earlier. the forecast tracks out of the computer models, still pretty much all tending to make the curve to the left and not let it go on off to the north, certainly not through monday or monday night, maybe by tuesday or wednesday. we have a couple of solutions heading it out to sea, but not much. during the day tomorrow, philadelphia, not bad. temperatures in the 70s, kind of breezy, maybe some showers later in the day. but a big difference between the city and the shore. next few days, here's philadelphia, 76, partly sunny. monday 77, windy, and of co

and atlantic city, 65. here's the storm, spinning its wheels a good 300-plus miles off the coast of atlantic city. all the showers an storms are out here east of the storm. what will happen, as the storm puts on the brakes and makes a jog to the west again this cluster of showers and thunderstorms will wrap in on the oarldz that's what will -- other side, that's what will close in on the jersey shore and the delaware beaches. hermine 65 miles per hour gusts to 70. moving to the east, northeast at 12 miles per hour expected to make the left-hand turn before heading out to sea, tuesday, wednesday and thursday. how close to the coast does it get? that's the question mark at this point. the closer it is to the coastline, the worst the impact. the farther it is out to sea, the less the impact. right now we're a little up in the air as to how severe the storm will be. we're expecting one thing for certain, the flooding will be moderate to possibly major up and down the shoreline from lakehurst to wildwood. future

release of the atlantic city police officer shot in the head two weeks ago. [ applause ] officer josh vidal gave a thumbs up for a show of support as he left the hospital today. "action news" reporter chad pradelli is live now in atlantic city. >> reporter: monica, right now officer vidal is at a rehab center in philadelphia. earlier today he was released from the hospital if atlantic city and dozens of his fellow officers were on hand. the applause was loud, officer josh vidal's spirit uplifting, he waived and gave a thumbs up and saluted his brothers and sisters in blue. and was wheeled away to go to an undisclosed rehab facility. i was there momently. he is speaking and in good spirits, he is a tough kid. >> vidal suffered a gunshot wound to the head at the caesars parking lot. vidal and his partner were interrupting a robbery in progress. and his partner opened fire and killed one suspect. two others were caught and charged with attempted murder and robbery and other related charges. vidal's doctors and nurses also received a loud applause, dr. eller was his brain surgeon, he said

i'm standing here, on the atlantic city beach just a few hundred feet away from the atlantic city poured walk and as you can see it is calm before the storm. look at the beach. it is absolutely beautiful. there are some pretty high waves going on, on the beach, you can see, it is pretty powerful there with the surf, but if you pan over to your left here we've got people standing on the beach sort of taking advantage have of this very peaceful time early in the morning near sunrise and they are just sort of hanging outputting their feet in the water this guy has been here for quite sometime just hanging out. we had a lot of people walking along the boardwalk, walking along the beach, early this morning, just checking things out, the wind, i mean there is some wind, would i call it medium wind, it is not heavy, some folks i talk to who were here yesterday say it was much worse at that time. but take a look the beach is pretty much cleared. they have removed life guard, sand to make sure that there were no projectiles that could hurt anyone in the event of strong winds. there is also some s

a real scare for shoppers at the walk outlets in atlantic city this afternoon. police forced them to stay inside until they sorted out shootings at two stores in the complex. nbc 10 jersey shore bureau reporter ted greenberg found out a store manager was killed. he joins us live with the developing story. >> reporter: yeah, jackie, that victim was gunned down here inside the zumey store. the suspect then shot himself at a different store across the street but survived. we've learned the two men had a connection involving the same woman. >> they said there was a shooting outside. and that we couldn't leave the store. >> reporter: the noontime gunfire left shoppers locked down inside stores at the walk outlets in atlantic city. >> everybody was crying. little kids were crying. >> he's messed up. >> reporter: workers at the store say it was their manager who was shot and killed inside by another man. authorities say the suspect then went across the street to the white house black market. there sources say he shot himself after being confronted by an off-duty police
