the battle between the city of durham and the durham rescue mission is heating up. and with boxes of signatures being turned over today...the rescue mission is showing they're not throwing in the towel just yet. it is 74 degrees in raleigh, 72 currently in durham. some spots in the upper 60s but still not providing us much relief from yesterday's high temperatures into the 90s, 69 deees. siler city and sanford, 74 the current temperature in fayetteville. as we head throughout the day today, these temperatures will be climbininto the low 90s again. st cooler, right around 92 this afternoon. very, very small chance of an isolated shower later today after about 3:00 p.m. but i do think that majority of the area stays dry all day. we're going to be humid as well. dew point today, right around 70, keeps us in the steamy category on our comfort undecks scale. so we have the heat, the humidity. it is going to feel uncomfortable at ties as we pressure that's been so consistent over the past several days. humidity craigs up here. we are mostly dry with hot and humid air still lingering. morrow, that changes a bit. we will see cloud increasing in the morning. a cold front will arrive into the area. that's going to provide us with some showers and storms
