jill stein. dr. stein: i will start by thanking democracy now! for holding a real debate with the american people. -- american people are clamoring for. over 75% of americans are saying they wanted open debate. the two candidates of the establishment parties are the int disliked and untrusted our history, so we owe the american people a full debate. on this question of prosperity, i think donald trump knows what he is talking about about the off shoring of jobs because in fact, donald trump has off short all of his jobs aside from his real estate. all of the products that he manufactures and markets in fact are produced offshore. he has been an advocate of closing factories, moving them offshore or down south, and then moving them back -- in this case, to michigan -- so workers wages can be suppressed. indeed, does exemplify the very problem he is talking about. the prosperity issue has really reached crisis proportions because prosperity has gone to the top, not to american workers who are strugglin

i should mention jill stein. jill stein also, she does a bit worse than johnson in the single digits in nearly every state. the one where she does very well is vermont. she has 10% support there, and that, of course, is the home to senator bernie sanders. could cause nervousness for hillary clinton. vermont, she's still a favorite to win that state. >> finally, a potential bright spot for donald trump and his campaign. the upper midwest. >> this is what trump supporters have hoped for. the sign he can run the table in the upper midwest, or at least pick off some democratic heavy states. in pennsylvania clinton leads by four points, but that's slimmer than what we have seen in other public surveys. in michigan clinton leads by only two. in wisconsin by two. in ohio trump leads by three. the bulk of the states have gone democratic in the last six electrics. that signals how important these have been in boosting democrats. it's a fairly narrow victory there. the real way for trump to pull off 270 electoral votes see

and jill stein is polling. gary johnson is polling. what is their impact on the race over all at this point and where do you see it going? what questions do you ask? >> you look and between the two of them, 13%. not enough to get either of them on the presidential debate stage. you need 15% to cross that threshold. but it is interesting in the two-person race, trump trails clinton by 6 point. but in the four-person race, he trails by only 2. so those two independent candidate or third party candidate, gary johnson libertarian and jill stein ring party candidate are taking more votes from clinton than they are from trump. so it is interesting to see what's going to happen and in fact some people have suggested, given all of that that trump aught to be pushing for one or both of them to be on the presidential debate stage because they might hurt clinton and work to his advantage. having said that my guess is they will success or fail on their own. >> trump tried to weigh in on a few different debates, as i'm sure you're familiar, chris.
