reporting live from 38th and lincoln - julie collins. fox 6 news. classes are canceled at saint john's lutheran school in mayville today due to flooding. angelica joins us now with more. a waterlogged mayville-- still trying to dry out this morning. and piling sandbags outside saint john's, trying to protect it from the waters. the principal says within an hour-- the water had started running down the side of the school. student were evacuated from the school, as well as from parkview primary. today's classes at saint john's have been canceled while crews continue to clean up the mess. school officials hope classes will resume tomorrow. developing news now from the city's north side. one person is dead and another seriously injured after a last night near 27th and hadley. police say one of the victims may have been shot inside a car. a 34-year-old man died. a 24-year-old year old is in very serious condition so far no suspects are in custody. the fence around sherman park will stay down. at least until another court hearing at the end of the month.

reporting live, julie collins, fox6 news. a student is recovering this morning after she's grazed by a bullet when a police officer's gun goes off inside a milwaukee elementary school. angelica is in the newsroom with details. right now police are trying to figure out how that officer's gun went off while still in its holster. this all afternoon inside thoreau elementary. police say the supervisor of the schools resource officers was trying to speak with the 13-year-old female student about an incident that occurred several days ago. police say thats when the girl became physically combative. the girl was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries. police say the incident took place in the basement of the school -- away from other students and staff members. at any time, was there any students anyone else in the area in any danger. were still working on--just a freak occurrence--we're working on what actually occurred. since police are still trying to determine how the gun went off -- the incident is not being investigate
