the first meeting of milwaukee's new "water quality task force." it was put together because of concerns over lead pipes used to pump water into old homes. pete zervakis joins us live from milwaukee's northwest side with a look ahead at what's happening today this morning's first meeting of the water quality task force is set for 9 am at city hall. the group was put together to study how to make sure milwaukee's drinking water stays safe. according to the city... the water itself is clean and o-k to drink. but in some older homes -- those built pre-1951... lead pipes are being used to transport water properties.... and then from property line to the water meter. that lead can dissolve and seep into the water. the city notified about 70- thousand such homeowners of the risk earlier this year. the mayor has called for people living in older homes to invest in water filters. they should also avoid using the hot water tap -- because the heat can dissolve lead from pipes. . , young children - under the age of six are most vulnerable. if older house and
