now we're looking at the florida panhandle. tallahassee will be in the line of a direct impact from the center of this storm. tallahassee now starting to see some of the rain moving onshore. this is their first view of rainfall. but that will only be getting heavier as this storm approaches land. the center of this hurricane, there it is, right there, about 130 miles away from land. so again, it's expected to move along the florida panhandle as we go through tonight and very early tomorrow morning. and this hurricane will be causing very high winds through florida. and also some storm surge. let's look at some of the buoy data. winds 40 miles an hour offshore. wave heights close to 11 feet. closer to the center of the storm and florida panhandle, wave heights close to 20 feet. winds gusting near 50 miles an hour. but again, those conditions expected to be stronger as the storm approaches land. now, this storm will be impacting part of our area over the labor day holiday weekend. so we've adjusted the forecast because of that. c
